Cahpter 3
The day was just like any other. We were back from Winter break so everyone was sharing their Winter stories. The teachers didn't make to much of an effort to make everyone work because they knew they wouldn't. Me and Chloe included. I am actually a fan of school but as it was the first day back I was all for an easy day.
Luchtime rolled around and me and Chlo made our way to the Dining Hall. It was packed. Bodies mashed together, falling over each other in their rush to get to their destnation. Kids yelling to each other from across the room while the teachers attempt to calm them down.
We slowly made our way through the crowd and to the lunch line. The food here was surprisingly edible and I ate here more often than not. Though with a school as prestigous as this, it's knida expected.
"Hey," Chloe wispers once we've sucecced in squeezing into the line "Did you hear the news?"
I shake my head. We haven't had any classes together all morning and none of my other friends shared them with me.
She grins and turns her head to scan the room "Apparently there's some new kid in our year."
I just look at her and wait for her to continue. It wasn't unusual for our school to gain new students . Not even mid-term.
She rolls her eyes at me and goes back to her searching "Well, Dixie was in my English class earlier and told me that he was in her morning class," She turns back torwards me, a devilish smile on her face "And according to her he's 'the most gorgeous guy my mundane eyes have ever had the pleasure to look at'.I haven't seen him myself so I can't really judge, but Dixie is known for her impeccable taste."
I sigh and laugh a little "So what if he's good-looking? Looks don't mean anything."
She shakes her head "They do if I get to stare at those good looks."
I open my mouth to respond but close it again when I realise that we've reached the start of the line. I order a grilled cheese and ham sandwhich and grab a bottle of water. Armed with our lunches we both dive into the chaos and to a free table.
Once settled we continue our discussion of the new boy.
"He's supposedly the typical 'bad boy' which is, you know, hot. He's got all these issues with his father, who is like some multimillionare or something which makes him even hotter."
"How do you know all this? We've only been back at school for half a day."
She looks at me with digust "Please, I found that out in the first five minutes. Nobody really knows much about him so I didn't find out much."
Me and Chloe have been friends since we were young. She may seem like the typical blonde haired blue-eyed girl who only cares about gossip and boys, but she's really not. She was the best friend in the world. She's always been there for me and stands up for me and cheers me up when I'm sad and she is the most loyal person in the world. She's also incredibly smart. Like genius smart. She does like to hear the gossip but that doesn't mean that she's listens to it. The only person she ever tells is me. And she'd never tell it or spread rumors about anyone. Everybody thinks they have her pegged by just looking at her but they really have no idea.
I raise my eyebrow "If nobody knows anything then how did you find all that out?"
She shrugs "Rumors I suppose." she looks up from her salad and smiles at me "I guess we'll just have to meet him and find out for ourselves."
I'm about to respond but then I notice that the Hall has taken on a distinctly quieter tone.I look around in confusion not seeing anything out of the ordinary. I go to turn back when something catches my eye. More like someone.
Walking into the Dining Hall as if he were a king in his kingdom is who I can only assume to be the new kid. As much as I hate to admit it, Chloe's friend Dixie wasn't exaggerating how good-looking he was. He was perfect looking. The kind of perfect that was almost too much to look out. Almost eerie in it's perfection.
He strides into the room on long legs, his feet adorned in black leather boots. His body tall and lithe in worn jeans and a black leather jacket. His eyes scan the crowd and from where I'm sitting it's impossible to tell their colour but I know they will be just as beautiful as the rest of him. Rich brown hair falls in front of his eyes and brushes his collar. His face is elegent, regal looking; all angles and sharp lines. His lips are tilted into an amused grin as he surveys his domain.
I let out a breathe. While I admit he is incredibly good-looking I will not judge him on that attribute alone. I'm about to turn back to Chloe when that perfect face turns in my direction.
Blue. His eyes are blue. The colour of the ocean when the sun shines directly upon it. The colour of the sky on an early Summer morning. They almost sparkle in their blueness. They move to look me up and down before a smirk splits his face in have. I hate to admit that it makes me catch my breathe. That it makes me want to forget everything I'm doing and stare at him all day.
Instead I give him a calm, calculated look and turn away. Away from him and his enchanting eyes. So this, I think to myself, is our new kid.
So, here it is, chapter 3 :) Hope you enjoyed it. Tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions for a cast :) XXX
