Back at Triton Castle that night, thoughts weigh heavy on Michiru's mind. Knowing full well she will be time traveling tomorrow. Once was excited, now she is a nervous ball of fears and doubts. She can't help but shudder at the thought.
Brushing her teeth and hair, she finishes getting ready for bed. Wearing a light cerulean nightgown with silver starfishes elegantly gracing the garment. She looks herself in the bathroom mirror.
"What a whirlwind this has all been. They are all counting on me. So much rests on my shoulders. What to do?" A heavy sigh escapes her as the sensation of doubt creeps into her psyche. As it does so her bottom lip quivers with worry.
She walks out to her room and picks up the Deep Aqua Mirror laying on her bed. Holds it close to her heart and closes her eyes.
"I know Akira will be with me so I'm not going into this alone. I'll be in contact with BlackIce. Still I feel so overburdened. The stakes are high and climbing all the time it seems, since this all began. I love my family and being Neptunian, the more precious someone or something is the more pressure there is... but all the more it's worth fighting for. Still there's this ominous feeling I just can't describe and it's getting to me."
Looking into the mirror she sees herself in a much more divine light. She sits down upon the edge of the bed as that ominous feeling casts a shadow over her. Clenching her spirit and dragging down her confidence. Her expression darkens to seriousness as she looks into the Deep Aqua Mirror.
"Oh, talisman of mine, show me where my courage hides."
The mirror warps to show the shadow reflected in Michiru's mind. Then a hazy image of pollution energy cast upon its surface. The billowing dust cloud of haze grows till Michiru feels it might drain her energy.
Appearing in a blue fog, a spirit silhouette of a wavy haired teen girl, shuns the pollution away with a wave of her hand as if by divine will.
Sailor Triton winks, "Don't worry Neptune, everything's going to be okay."
Sailor Triton's image comes into full tuned clarity. This time an older version of the funny turquoise haired girl stands inside the mirror. Wearing a sailor uniform, designed more for her line of work. The blue-green sailor collar and pants are accented by a black tie, sash and black riding boots.
"Are you Sailor Triton?
"Sure am!"
Michiru draws a stunned expression. Surprised to actually be looking at Sailor Triton herself.
"Why so shocked, Sailor Neptune? Aren't you glad to see me?"
"Oh I'm not sure what to say, but hello. Truth is, you're the one I've been wanting to talk to."
"What a coincidence I've been needing to talk to you too." Said Sailor Triton.
With the dorkiest but most genuine grin, Sailor Triton reaches out her hand to Michiru.
"Trust me if you truly value your life. It's important."
Michiru hesitates, stewing in her mind deciding wether or not to trust her.
Michiru attempts to look her in the eyes but Sailor Triton quickly cocks her head to the side. Her wavy turquoise locks preventing Michiru from looking directly into them. Despite her efforts to hide it, Michiru could tell from her expression Sailor Triton is afraid.
And so she reached out to touch her hand. Sailor Triton hesitating at the last second waiting for Michiru to really want this. Michiru smiles at the sweet girl sensing her shy but sincere need, admiring her patience. Michiru takes Triton's hand and something magical happens between them, the sensation of their divine connection. The first time they've felt each others touch in eons.
