I'm the thorn in your flesh
That you can't take out
You're the broken arrow in me
That I can't pull out
Swinging between nothing and everything
There's a thin line separating
For each wall you broke I built another
Never letting you cross over
Stealing breath after breath
I took a part of you each time I left
Letting you go seems harder than leaving
So I unfurled my fingers
One by one
To set you free
Instead I found you embedded in me.
Yours truly
Hazel.
