A few things I'd like to address:
1) this is a work of fiction. I know I've said it before but I feel like stressing this is important.
2) when someone kills themself, they're not just hurting themself. Lizzie's suicide affected her family, Anonymous, Jase, and countless others. You might think no one cares, but they do. This is personal to me, because a couple years back I had a friend who was suicidal. She didn't die, but the things she would say-- stop it, I don't want to be saved, just leave it alone; everyone else let me go, you can too -- broke my heart. So this is for her, I guess, and everyone else who thinks no one will cry for them when they're gone. The problem is, none of us say I love you or I care about you enough, but we care. I care.
3) if you feel like Lizzie -- or Anonymous -- please, please get help. Tell somebody. Don't let it eat you up inside. Whatever you're dealing with -- depression, anxiety, self-harm, EDs, suicidal urges, PTSD, whatever -- doesn't have to be dealt with alone. Get the help you need. If not for yourself, do it for the people you care about.
