Chapter Two

Kira's POV

I woke up freezing, why was it so cold? I looked under me to see my bed coated in ice. The gloves were still on my hands though, I guess they didn't work. I looked around to see the walls and floor frozen as well. Panic washed over me. I struggled opening my door since it was frozen shut. I used the force and forcefully opened it.

I fearfully entered the kitchen. What if someone looked into my room? "I was wondering why you weren't in your room." Padme said and sat next to me. "I see the gloves don't work." She said. I shook my head and began crying. "It's alright." She said and hugged me. "I don't know what to do." I said sobbing. "Just calm down. Your whole body is turning cold." She said. I released her and wiped my eyes. I took steady breaths and soon calmed down. I held out my arm and Padme felt it. "You're normal again." She said. "Thanks." I said smiling. "I'm sorry I yelled at you." I said. "I get it, you were stressed. I don't want you to think I'm replacing Dawn. She was my best friend." She said. "Were you and Ben together?" Luke asked entering the room. "No, I only had eyes for your father." Padme said. "I need to find mom." I said. "That means facing Darth Vader." Padme said. "I know. Mom is worth it." I said. "I understand." Padme said. I hugged her and she hugged me back. "You two seem close." Han said entering the room. "I'm Kira's Auntie Padme." Padme said laughing. "I haven't called you that in forever." I said laughing.

I stood up and felt a sharp pain in my head. "Padme!" I shouted holding my head. "Get me a warm washcloth!" Padme shouted. I hit the floor in pain. "He's doing it again!" I shouted as I heard breathing in my head. Pain surged through my head and the floor under me turned to ice. I heard everyone gasp except Padme. Artoo shocked me and Vader vanished. "Thanks buddy." I said and patted his head. I stood up. "He's taunting me." I said. "Where'd that ice come from?" Han asked. "Me." I said. "That's what the necklace was for." Padme explained. "I'm going after him." I said. "Who?" Leia asked. "Darth Vader." I said. "He's just messing with you." Han said. "He's messing with my head! He's been messing with my head for the past 20 years!" I shouted, I felt my body temperature drop. "Calm down. Remember what you did to Obi Wan." Padme said. "That was an accident." I said but took a deep breath instead. She came over and felt my head. She nodded meaning I was okay.

"What exactly did Vader ever do to you?" Leia asked. "He murdered my friends in front of me then took my mother. Before that he was an amazing person, and I had no reason to hate him." I said. "Hate is a strong word." Padme said. "Padme, I know you love him, but I have to get rid of him." I said. "I wont let you." Padme said. "There's still good in him!" She shouted. "He's gone Padme!" I shouted. "Once you go to the dark side there's no going back!" I shouted. "How do you know!?" Padme shouted. "I've seen it happen." I said sadly. Artoo wheeled next to me. I squatted down. "How've you been?" I asked. He let out a series of beeps. "I've been okay." I said. Artoo and I carried on with a conversation while the others just watched.

"Hey Han?" I asked turning around. "Yeah?" He asked. "Can you take me to the Death Star?" I asked. "Only if I can help." He said. "Of course." I replied. "Then next stop, Death Star." He said.

We landed and I readied myself. I had my light saber and I was getting the hang of my powers.

I pulled my hood up and ran quietly through the ship. Han, Leia, and Chewie were taking out the troopers, Padme, Threepio, and Artoo were on the ship getting ready to take off when we needed them to, and Luke and I were trying to find my mother. "Kira, slow down." Luke said. I stopped. "What?" I asked. "This is too dangerous. We need to go back." Luke said. "Luke, I need you to help me." I said. "Help you with what?" He asked. "Help me have hope, hope my mother is still alive." I said. "I'll do my best." He said. I turned around and was about to run again. "And Kira, you're beautiful." He said. I blushed. "You're not too bad yourself." I said and began running again.

I came upon a room and opened the door. I saw a woman chained up against a wall. "Dawn?" I whispered. She looked up. "Help me." She whispered. I nodded and moved quietly over to her. "Who are you?" She asked. Luke and I stayed silent. I heard breathing behind me and a look of anger washed over my mother's face. "Luke." I heard Vader say. I turned around and balled up my fists. "Join me Luke." Vader said. "He'll never join you!" I shouted. Darth Vader force pushed me into the wall. "Kira!" Luke shouted and ran to me. My hood had fallen. "Kira?" Vader and my mother both asked in unison. I held my head. "Oh... You wanna play that way?" I asked and froze his feet to the floor. I watched as he struggled to release his feet. "My ice is enchanted. It doesn't break too easily." I said. "Why are you here?" Vader asked. "To avenge my father and save my mother." I said and charged at him with my light saber activated. He grabbed me by my throat with the force and lifted me in the air. "Put her down!" My mother shouted. Luke ignited his light saber and attacked Vader. I was dropped to the ground. "Save Dawn!" Luke shouted. I nodded and unchained my mother.

Vader knocked Luke to the ground and stood over him. Luke was helpless. "Luke!" I shouted and ran towards Vader. I cut off his leg and helped Luke up. "You just cut off his leg!" He shouted as we ran away. "Don't worry, it's not real." I said. "He lost both of them forever ago." My mother said.

We met up with Han, Chewbacca, and Leia as we were running. "This is my mother Dawn." I said. "Is now the time for introductions?" Han asked. "No, not really." I said and ran faster. We ran up the ramp and Padme took off. "Dawn?" Padme asked. "Padme?" My mother asked. They both hugged. "Mom." I said. "Kira." My mother breathed and hugged me tightly. "I missed you so much." I said. "I missed you too." She said.
