Chapter Three

Kira's POV

My mother turned to me. "You said you wanted to avenge your father. Does that mean?" She asked, worried to finish the sentence. I nodded. She broke down into tears. "Mom, why did you save me?" I asked referring to the night she was captured. "You're my daughter. I would lay down my life for you." She said. "But then I grew up without a mother." I said staring at the floor.

"And I spent 20 years with Darth Vader." She said laughing. I saw Padme tense up. "Sorry." She said to Padme. "You guys always act like he's bad." She whispered. "Padme, he is. He tried to kill me." I said. "He was seduced by the dark side." She said defending him.

"And he still is. If you really think he's so good, confront him." I said. "I-I cant do that." She said. "Why? Don't you believe in him?" I asked. She was silent. "Like I said, there's no going back." I said. "Kira!" My mother scolded.

"I'm sorry." I said. "I just.... My father.' I said trailing off. After a few minutes of awkward silence Han cleared his throat. "I'll just go to bed now." He said and walked off. Everyone else left, except me.

I made my way to the cockpit to stare out the window at all the stars. I sensed Luke come up behind me. "Did you really mean what you said?" I asked referring to when he called me beautiful. "I did." He said and stood next to me. I turned to look him in the eyes.

He began to lean towards me. I realized that he was about to kiss me. What should I do? Kiss him back? Move away? Before I knew what was happening he was kissing me. I began to kiss him back. I CANT BELIEVE IT MY FIRST KISS!!

He pulled away with a huge grin on his face. He wrapped his arm around my waist as we stared out at the stars. "What was the Jedi Order like?" He asked out of no where. "They were strict. They didn't approve of anything." I said. "My mother and father broke the 'code' by getting married and having me. Your mother and father did the same." I said. Thinking about Anakin made me want to cry.

"What was my father like?" He asked. "He was a lovely man. Would've made a fantastic father. He was my Uncle Ani and I loved him so much." I said. "Doesn't that make us cousins?" He asked laughing. "He wasn't my real uncle silly." I said laughing. "He used to always come over and play with me. He would tell me amazing stories about the missions he went on with my father and mother, and his padawan." I said. "Padawan?" He asked. "A Padawan is a Jedi in training. They are put under the training of a Jedi Master. Her name was Ahsoka Tano. She was such a brave girl. But.... she was accused of bombing a temple and she left the order." I said sadly.

"It sounds like your life was pretty interesting." He said. "I guess." I said. "After Order 66 I was put into hiding, Padme decided to keep her distance from you. We all did. It was for your protection. But I remember you as a baby. You were so cute." I said. He kissed the side of my head.

"I'm sorry about Ben." He said. "Me too...." I said trailing off. He pulled me against him and I hugged him tightly. I felt secure in his arms. Like nothing could harm me.
