Jacks POV

From that day on we were put as servant sand not fellow sister brother or daughter son. We did the work of cooking and cleaning, meaning the fire and so on. It's okay though I understand that this is how they are copping with the sorrow. Me and Ella on the other hand sign the lullaby to each other, we switch on and off. I am cleaning the glass of a cup, which one of my step sister dropped right now. I don't have any hand protection so I already have many cuts trying to get the little pieces, but I can tell no glass is in my hands. Ella keeps trying to peeks at my hands but I just hide them because she doesn't need any more hassles to deal with. I start to pick up the pieces, because I was day dreaming, when I hear a voice scream my name.

"Jack!"they all yelled and I winced

"I stood up hiding my hands and walked over to them,

"Yes" I said

"Is it true you like the same gender?" My step mother asks me
I nodded my head, then my head snaps to the side with a burning sensation,
"You brought that upon your self" she spits at me and walks away

I start to cry into my hands. I don't even care if blood gets on my face. Ella walks up to bring my hands away from my face and gasps. I look up at her and sighed

"Jack you need to go rest I can do your chores just wash your hands out and ice your face" she worriedly said and tried pushed me to our room with some ice and wash cloth

Main word tried I just shook my head no and continued my work.

"It's okay" I said

AT NIGHT

I walked into my room to see all my clothes ripped and torn. I sighed and just sewed them into a giant blanket and waited for Ella, I don't get dinner tonight

Flash back
from now one you get scraps of dinner on Monday and Friday
Present

After about 10 minutes I see Ella come in,

"It's your turn" she says

I sighed I am not even that good compared to her but she enjoyed it so just to make her forget for a bit I started to sing.
