Go to any yaoi story on wattpad. Pull it up and read it. Automatically, you see issues. Such as how there is a Seme and Uke, the uke is basically just a girl with a dick, and the grammar. This comes from watching too much yaoi, being an underaged Teenager, and how the girls project their desires on the seme by being the uke. Obvious mistakes are obvious. The Grammar comes from them being teenage girls. I would know, seeing as I know how it was like being a Teenage girl.
The point of this tutorial is to teach you how to properly make a good story with gay relationships. I might even teach you how to make a good story in general! Just stick with me guys, I update kinda slow, heh heh. Well, let's begin!
1.Men are not objects for your pleasure. That is, young homosexual boys are not just a stick of meat and a hole that you shove into each other constantly. If you are sexualizing your couple, you're doing something wrong. Girls get angry when men sexualize them, right? Gay Men get angry when girls sexualize them, too! They have feelings, too! If you want to write porn, just write one shot porn! Don't make an entire story!
2.Don't reference yaoi! Yaoi is literally just porn! No love, no relationship, just abusive sexual activities! If you want to reference anime, do Shounen Ai! That is actual Gay relationships! And they're actually cute and all!
3.Homosexuals can feel love too, ya know! This goes back to the don't sexualize them part, but really, most stories on here have no romance! They'll hug, cuddle, kiss every now and then, go on special dates for maybe ice cream or a video game date! Make the dates pertain to their interests! And please, if they do have sex, make it rational!
4. Big issue here on wattpad, but...RAPE IS NOT OKAY. IT NEVER IS OKAY AND JUST BECAUSE IT IS FICTIONAL DOES NOT EXCUSE YOUR APPARENT RAPE FETISH! Rape is disgusting, illegal, and plain wrong. If someone gets raped, they are not aroused or into it! They are scared, injured, and possibly near death! This goes for any relationship, but I see it the most on the stories on wattpad with gay couples. Sex without consent is rape, no matter what a fangirl says. Please, call out anyone sexualizing rape.
5.Make sure your pairing makes sense! This generally goes for Canon x Canon but it can go for anything. Let's use Homestuck for an example. Unless its a crack ship, something like Sollux and Equius wouldn't work. They never talk, never interact, probably don't even know each other that well. So why ship them? Because they look good? No. They say opposites attract, but you gotta make it work.
6.Please, work on your grammar! If you want to write, you need to be able to make sentence that makes sense! Spelling, paragraphs, and proper punctuation goes a long way!
