I walk into my house suddenly very grateful for my families trip to Mexico the year before. I grab my passport and head upstairs.  I load many outfits into my suitcase and anything else that I will need.  suddenly I sincerely wish that I were over 18.   I have to go talk to my mom.   The chances of her letting me go to a foreign country with a boy that I just met, haha good joke, I have a better chance of owning my own house.  I figure no matter what she says I am going.  I can't not let Niall go and I can't let him go alone.  On my way down the stairs I check on Niall.  He has all of his things packed pack up and is now taking a nap.  Good he needs it, sometimes it is just too hard to stay awake and face reality.

Downstairs I find my mom putting in a load of laundry.  She turns around, "Em, I am sorry about earlier.  I know nothing happened."

"Good.  Glad you got over that." I should be trying to cool off but today has already been too much, but it was obvious that I wanted nothing to do with that conversation. "I need to go to London."

"What?! Why?" she was obviously thrown off by that, I am glad she was.  "You are not going to London! I am not rewarding you for bad behavior."

"What Mom do you think it is a joy trip that we are going on? Huh? Look at him Mom.  Does he look like he is okay? Just look." I whispered pointedly while pointing at Niall, who was curled into a ball on the couch.  "His friends are in varying states of injury in a London hospital and he is here.  I am going with because that," I pointed at him again, " Is not what I would call stable.  Especially not stable enough to travel alone."

"I don't like the idea of you going to a foreign country with someone that I don't know.  Your sister was never the same after she went to Europe..."

I grab my mothers arm and pull  her into the other room, "I am not your other daughter mom.  I am me.  Plus she was wacky before she left we just didn't realize it.  I get that you are worried about what kind of trouble I might get myself into but you know that I have always been the more responsible of your children. Not to mention that if I get myself into trouble it is MY problem, and MY choice.  Not YOURS."

"Fine, go to England.   You have 2 weeks, if you need longer we will talk about it later."

"Thank you."  I moved to the doorway,"Niall?  Put your stuff in the car we are going."  I come back inside to my mom. "Thanks again," I give her a hug. "I will call you when we board and land and everyday."

"Okay, Bye Em."

"Bye Mom, Love ya"

"Love you."

*3 hours later*

We rushed to the airport just in time to buy two tickets to London.  All of our bags were checked and we are just waiting to board the plane.  Finally they let us onto our flight,  there are so many screaming children that I can already tell that the 8 hour flight is going to grate on my nerves.  I am sitting between Niall and a teenage boy that has his music turned up so loud that I can hear it better than I can hear the flight attendant's.   About an hour into the flight we are told that we can use our screens now.  I turn mine to the movies tab and find one that looks sort of good and settle in.  Niall has fallen asleep with his headphones in.  In no time I am also asleep.

I wake to the voice of one of the flight attendant's, "Attention passengers we are beginning our decent into the London Airport.  Please fasten your seat belts, and thank you for flying with us today."

I quickly check to make sure Niall is still buckled and watch out the window.  I can see the lights shining through the fog that is blanketing most of the city.   It is one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen in my life.   The plane touches down with the thump that wakes up Niall. "What was that?" he looks around nervously.

"Shhh.. Niall we just landed.  We're in London."
