I Can Love You More Than This

Chapter 6

I threw my bag onto Harry's bed which was right above Liam's bed in the tour bus. It was my first time ever really being in the tour bus and it was pretty cool. It had a small kitchenette and a bathroom way at the back of the bus. There were six bunk beds and two couch areas, one before the beds and one after the beds. The back couch area was trimmed into a bed-like area with pillows and blankets.

"Are you ready for New York," Niall said to me, sitting on Liam's bed.

I sat next to him and he took my hand in his. "Yeah. I'm a little saddened that I won't spend time with you as much though, I'll only see you when we do the show and when I'm in the studio."

"Well you said you wanted Zayn to have his own room for a while. And you are dog sitting."

That's right, once we got to New York, I was staying at a friends apartment who would be gone for the days I would be there. She was visiting family in California, and thought that me having a few days in New York would be her advantage to go see her family.

I agreed to watch her dog and even Jackie said she'd accompany me. I took the offer to give Zayn some space. Lately when he sees me, he hardly talks to me. When he does he tells me that what I'm doing is wrong with Niall. I guess he's right though. Whereas I do like Niall, I and Zayn know I can't deny the fact that I love Zayn more but I don't want to be alone like this seeing someone else make him happy.

Zayn crossed by me and Niall, not even glancing down at me and Niall. I sighed.,

"What's wrong mate, you seem a bit down," Niall said to Zayn as he tossed his laptop bag on his bed and climbed up on it.

He looked at me and I looked down. "It's nothing lad, I just have a lot on mind."

I looked up and he was on his bed, opening his laptop and placing a pair of Soul headphones on his head. Niall kissed my temple and said he was gonna go to bed. He lightly kissed my lips and I smiled as he turned to his bed that was next to Liam's. I crawled up on Harry's bed and faced Louis who was on his bed reading something.

"So Leena-Marie, she sounds pretty cool," he said with a sly smile.

My eyes widened and I scurried over to his bed and covered his mouth.

"Don't."

"Aw, come on," he said shoving my hand aside with his chin. My body was hovering over his, my legs between his which were bent. "I actually really like it."

"How'd you even find it," I said as he placed his arm around my waist as we were going over a bumpy part in the road.

"Well," he flipped us over with the help of a bump so that he was on top and I was underneath his hovering body. He knelt down close to my ear and I stiffened. "That's for me to know."

He got up and leaned up against the wall, still looking at his phone and I sat up on his bed. "Liam told you?"

"Yup."

"Still reading it?"

"Uh-huh," he said, scrolling.

"Ugh," I responded with a roll of my eyes.

Louis laughed at me and I leaned up against the wall like him. I didn't want to know where he was in the book that I had written, so instead I pulled my phone out and began to play Minecraft. I glanced at Zayn who was across the way and he turned to look back his laptop in front of him. He was staring at me again. Most of the time when I looked at him if I wasn't alone with him, he would always look away like as if he was staring at me. I wish he wouldn't though. It made me feel bad.

At night after concerts we would go to our room and he would tell me about his childhood, his family, why he like One Direction, what it was like to live the life he has. Whenever I would try to bring up Perrie, he would change the subject. I know they made up about whatever little spat it was that they were ahving when I got there though. Once when I was getting our off the shower, I heard him talking on the phone with her, saying that he loved and missed her. It hurt but I couldn't even get mad- they were the ones that were in an actual relationship not me and him.
