Dean took a deep breath and looked at Connie.
She was staring at him.
After a couple of minutes silence Connie very quietly asked,"When did you say this happened?"
"I told you," answered Dean, it will be exactly two years come Monday."
Another silence.
"Oh come on Connie, really, I know I should have gone back, or gone to the police to report it. I know what I did was wrong and I am not proud of it. But really, I didn't expect this reaction from you. I didn't exactly hurt anyone."
It was if she hadn't heard him.
"Where exactly did this accident happen?" she asked.
"By the park" Dean answered a little impatiently.
"Get out" Connie almost whispered.
"Get out" she repeated getting louder.
"For christ's sake Connie, what is it?" Dean asked half getting up from the sofa, looking worriedly at Connie who looked as if she had seen the devil himself.
"GET OUT" she screamed.
Dean hurried over to the door, "Fine I'm going. Christ you are absolutely crazy!" He called out as he left the apartment, "Crazy, if that's your reaction then we're over, finished"
Dean slammed the door and stormed off. He seriously did not understand her at all. Her reaction was crazy, completely over the top. She was a mad woman.
Inside the apartment Connie leaning against the closed door started crying. Great sobs tearing her apart. She slowly sank to the floor.
