(Eric's pov)
I felt my throat with my tongue. Dry and scratchy. I could hear the beep and whir of a machine. Along with the steady beating of a heart monitor. I tried to get up but couldn't. I could hear everything, but I couldn't move or see. I'm in a coma. I thought. I heard the door open. And the heavy clunking of a shoe came in. A rough voice that I recognized as my cancer Doctor, Dr. Mahogany. Which was pretty ironic because his hair was jet black. "You get to choose Mrs. Levine. You can unplug him, or we can try to help him. We say brain activity spike within the last couple minutes, but it stopped. I felt a warm holding my limp, cold one. "Ooh!" His hands are freezing!" Sobbed my mother. "Eric," She whispered in my ear. " What do you want honey?" I wanted to tell her to unplug it. Just let me go. As if reading my mind, she said, "Knowing him, he would want to unplug it Doctor. But can his friend come in and say goodbye?" I was surprised because I knew she was talking about Emma. I then heard my mom say, "Come in Emma."
