We all sat in the police station, we were quiet. This time I didn't break the ice, I was thinking about how it happened. How I could've stopped it, how she saved me. We were left to sit down and think about our friends death. How she died.
I glanced at Scott, he was quietly staring at at the mug on one of the desk. Lydia stared into her lap while I was silently screaming at myself. We stay silent, no one flinched or even glanced up when Scott's after came over to us. "So tell me what happened again?" He asked.
"We were leaving the store. Five guys dressed in black and had masked on robbed us." I answered, still staring at the desk leg. "This one guy pulled out a knife on Allison. She wasn't even paying attention while she fought of one of the muggers who held me at gun point." I replied, feeling tears build up.
"She was stabbed. I screamed her name." Lydia quietly spoke, still staring at her hand. "I still can't believe she's gone." Scott spoke up with a raspy voice. Agent McCall shared a few looks between Lydia, Scott and I. Then nodded to the door silently telling us we could leave.
Guess who gets the father award for apologizing for their Sons friends death?
I stood up and left the room. I watched as Lydia was pulled into a hug by her mother. Scott walked out of the room behind me, keeping his gaze on the ground. "I'm sorry." I mumbled, fiddling with my fingers. "It's not your fault." He replied after a minute of silence. "Do you need anything? I'm here for you Scott." I said, staring up at him.
"Yeah." He pulled me into a hug and stuffed his face into my shoulder. "I really, needed that." He replied.

No surprise, I had no idea what was happening or if how I ended up here. Stiles clung onto Lydia as Scott and I leaned against the School doors debating on when we should open the doors. "We stick with the plan. Kill the nogitsune. Don't worry about me." Stiles said, but even behind the confidence behind his voice I knew he was scared.
"The plan is to save you, that's the plan I'm going with." I said, Scott glances at me before pushing the door open. Instead of seeing a set of lockers, we walked into what you'd imagine when hearing 'frolicking through a garden' that garden was covered in snow.
There was a shuffling sound, we all turned around saw the nogitsune struggling to walk through the snow. I didn't react as I watched him. "Where are we?" I asked. "The place between life and death." The nogitsune replied. Bardo.
"There are no peaceful deities here. Admit it Stiles, you are dying and everyone else you love is dying as well." The nogitsune pointed at Stiles. "What do you mean?" Stiles asked, stepping forward and pushing Lydia behind him.
I started to zone out as I stared at the room, something seemed familiar and these seemed unrealistic. "-Scott and Kelly are your kaishakunin, Stiles. I'm going to make your best friends kill you, and you're going to let them. Everyone touched by an Oni's blade is going to die unless They kill you first." My ears perked up at the mention of us killing Stiles.
"Why? Why're you doing this?" Stiles asked, pain holding back his confidence.
The nogitsune snickered.
"To win the game." Four Oni's appeared from behind the nogitsune. One Oni decided to choose me as their rag doll as it threw me into a pile of snow. Scott took action and fought of an Oni also as Stiles and Lydia hid behind a rock. The Oni drew its sword as I stood up, it charged at me with its sword pointed up. I roared as my eyes lit up.
I kicked the sword from its hand and watched as it was masked by a pile of snow. We both jumped onto the floor looking for the sword. However I found it first, I jumped up and roared. The Oni's head snapped to me as it jumped up too. I let the katana dance on with my fingers showing it what I could do.
The Oni let out a dark laugh before reaching in its chest and pulling on out. It attacked first and pulled its sword back before letting it slam into my sword. I held it far from my face but I felt my feet digging into the snow as I was being pushed back. I screamed and with drew my sword and dodge the speeding katana.
The Oni failed to hit me and instead hit a rock. I took my open opportunity to attack it. I shoved the sword in the Oni's back. I left it there, and ran back to the group. "How is this possible? How are we here?" I turn to Scott as he dodged another sword. "I don't know." He replied. "One of the Oni's were killed. There's supposed to be four." I replied.
Scott was cut off as he was formed by an Oni a long side Lydia and I. Stiles held a sword in his hand staring at it in deep thought, almost as if his mind was made up he held the sword close to his chest. "Stiles!" I jumped up and ran to him before I was stopped by and Oni and held against my will to watch.
"Stiles no!" I yelled trying to fight them off. "Please, don't Stiles!" Scott yelled. "What if it saves you? What if it saves everyone?" Stiles yelled, his grip was so tight on the katana it drew a little blood. "What if it's a trick?" Lydia yelled. "No more tricks Lydia. End it Stiles." Stiles glanced at Scott and I, his gaze kind of softening.
"Stiles listen. I need you alright? You're my cousin. We need you! If you end your life, who does your dad have left? Stiles you're needed more than it seems. If you end it, the nogitsune wins. And I know deep down in you that even you know this isn't the way. Stiles, I love you." I screamed feeling tears build up. Stiles eyes glisten up in hope, he lowers the sword. "What're you doing? You have no more moves off, end your life!" The nogitsune said.
"No." Stiles calmly spoke, glancing at the sword. "I have one more move left." He looked up at me and threw me the katana. "A divine move." I turned around and slashed the Oni who was holding me across the face. I held up the sword and eyed it. "Guys, none of this is real it's an illusion." Stiles said.
Just like that Scott's in action fighting off his Oni. Soon the Oni's form a line beside the doorway. Scott stared at me before leading the way wincing as the Oni's cut him. I followed after him dropping my sword and cringed at the feeling of my skin being cut open. My blood stared making small stains in the snow.
Stiles and Lydia followed behind us, creating their own yelps of pain. Scott reached the nogitsune first and shoved him through the doorway. We stumbled into the hallways, the nogitsune was no longer being held by Scott and our wounds were gone. I threw my hands up In celebration, I was cut short when I was lifted and thrown at a set of lockers. Scott was soon by my side. "Divine move? Divine move? You think you have any moves at all?" Void said, passing past me and Scott making his way over to Stiles and Lydia who were walking away from each other. "You can kill the Oni but me? Me? I'm a thousand years old you can't kill me!" Void yelled walking faster towards the two.
I grunted and turned my head getting a better view. "But we can change you!" Lydia yelled. Void titled his head not quite understanding. "You forgot about the scroll. Scott now!" Just then Scott jumped from out of nowhere and bit void in the shoulder. I'm doing fine guys.
I got up and shook of the pain and ran towards the group. Void yelled in pain before a firefly flew out of his mouth. I followed it with my eyes and flinched when Isaac smacked a jar close capturing the fly. I turned back to void, knitting my brows and watched as he fell to the floor in a heap of dust.
Suddenly, Stiles grasp on Lydia loosened and he fell to the floor too. His eyes fluttered closed as he passed out. "Stiles?" Lydia said, falling to the ground beside Stiles and held his face tapping his cheek. Scott ran over to his best friends side, shaking him to get up. I too shook him hoping for the best. Stiles eyes fluttered open as he stared at us.
"Is everyone ok?" Lydia sighs in relief and rest her head on Stiles chest. Suddenly the moment was broken, it felt like something was slowly fading. I stared at Scott and ran outside the school doors. Aiden was dying.
