Chapter 4

Jojo's POV
Competition was today I was so excited to be in the lead for this group dance. It's my first time being the lead for ALDC. Who knows I might be staying here for the rest of internitiy. Kendall was dressing for her someone special solo when I stopped her. I asked if she able to call me once she got to the studio on set. She agreed and went off practicing her routine.

I was touching up my makeup and painted the rainbow streak across my eye down to my dimple line. Everybody thought it looked great so I promised I'd do theirs when their solo had finished.

Maddie was stunning in her Cream crop top with a lace sash reaching the draped skirt. Long at the back short at the front. Mackenzie was wearing blue lace over a white leotard with a blue lace skirt. Kendall had a jazz routine so she were a sunburnt orange crop top and sparkly booty shorts. Kalahni wearing a black and gold unitard doing an acro contempary piece. Just to show off Brooke.

Within all the chaos backstage we had forgotten about Brook, Paige and Chloe. The solos were called so we all waited patiently backstage. Nia and I held their jackets and water. We saw Chloe appear in a purple costume one Abby had designed and Paige wearing no costume. She musn't be dancing a solo.

Kalahni patiently waited while Paige was smart mouthing me and missed her que on stage she ended up just cartwheeling on lather then expected. As she acro'd her way off stage I ran and hugged her. Paige snickered pathetically behind me. Kalahni was so fever stated. " Miss Abby is going to hate me" she said amongst a hand full of tears. " No she won't it wasn't your fault. The noise back here is terrible besides I'm sure heaps of others missed their run as well." I calmed her down.

Before we knew it Maddie was laying on the ground on the ground on stage. Chloe laughed, she is a bully. Maddie was beautiful.her turns were perfect. Her toes were pointed, no wonder she is sealing deals with company's bigger then us she is amazing. As she returned off stage to gather her breathe she told Chloe something. ..

" We were best friends. You promised me that. Your mum hated me because the way I am treated, my heart counts you know. I have so many dances to remember now and so many records and deals to keep on track. You blew it for me. I danced and missed 3 steps because of your laughing and stomping backstage, you even called out my name!" Maddie burst out in tears. She didn't even watch Mackenzie dance.

Mackenzie held her teddy bear and ran on. She was also amazing. Just under Maddie's perfection. She was gorgeous. She ran off with an emotion and cried happily in my arms. Kendall also did a great job before rushing off. We stayed 2 dances more to watch Chloe. She did great as well. The dance was an Abby dance given once to Maddie. It was copyright.

We all quietly crept away whilst Chole was clapped for. Maddie sat down as I did her makeup with the others lining up fixing their hair. Nia looked at her feet and stared, she was really upset. She liked Paige.

Abby came down and congratulated the girls on how good they did. Of course Miss Abby said to Maddie she was going to win for sure.

We slipped on our rainbow firework costumes and ran backstage. No Chloe or no Paige, not even a peep from Brook. But we saw Ava. She was stretching her legs with her team who now had nick on it. NICK. everybody used to love nick when he danced for the ALDC but he left. That's where he went.

We took our places on stage and pumped it out. The adrenaline ran through my body and the crowd was gobsmacked. They cheered every time we did a trick. At the end after 2 minutes of complete pumping it out dancing we did the death drop and everyone stood on all legs and cheered. We are the ALDC. The judges had smiles on their faces and stood up aswel. We were so happy.

We gathered our jumpers and started dancing on stage. The music stopped so we all sat down. The man dressed in a fancy tuxedo called over the microphone " pre teen solos." Maddie was really worried." In 5th place receiving a platinum today is Kendall with someone special. In 4th place is dream on melodie, in third place is Chloe with Cry." That's the copied dance of Abby's and abby smirked happily. In 2md place is ...... Maddie with My Dream is yours. and in first place drum role please." We all drummed the ground, Kenzie squeezed my hand super tight. But let go. I was caught looking at Christi when Mackenzie walked up. She grabbed her first place. She beat Maddie. Again. How strange. The senior category was called this time I held Kalahnis hand. She was desperate. " 3rd place is Kalahni." Kalahni hopped up and recidved her award, Abby was pleased anyway. Kirra wasn't. "2nd place goes to Miranda with lonely. " I could see Kelly getting all excited, " first place is Tori with your song." Kelly was so diapointed but who cares. " group winner obviously with a perfect score is the Firework pop." We all collected our awards and chanted into the microphone ALDC. Abby came down impressed with Mackenzies win and Maddie's second and Kendalls 5th although she does wish she got higher. And Kalahni beating Brooke though she wasn't first. And on our win.

" YAY!" I screamed running and giving Abby a huge hug. She told me how great I was on stage. If I stay like this then it may mean I be the popular and most favourite this year
