Chapter Twenty: Evil Little Emo

Our little run in with the rogue man threw us off our schedule. It was dark not before long. Not wanting to take our chances, we decided to camp out for the night. In the cover of the trees, of course.

“Well, I guess Hitomi and Sakura can sleep in one tent. The rest of us will sleep in the other.” Kakashi sighed. Not wanting to do the task that was at hand. Meaning, he was to lazy to even put up a simple tent.

“I’ll just sleep outside.” I grumbled. There was no chance in hell that I was going to sleep inside a tent, with Sakura. Kakashi was very aware of this. I’d much rather Sasuke.

“Me too.” Naruto said, putting sticks in a pile for a fire. Kakashi was quiet for a few moments, just finishing the first tent. It took him twenty minutes for him to do this.

“Okay, then. Sasuke and Sakura will be sharing a tent.” He was staring at me when he said this, as if to get a reaction from me. None came, I just fiddled with the hem of my shirt, to show that I did not care. But, he continued staring. This man got creepier and creepier as the days went by. I continued showing him how much I didn’t care. Sasuke, on the other hand, did care.

“Wh-what?! No. I’d much rather sleep outside.” He wrinkled his nose in disgust. I have to admit, Sasuke looked really cute when he did that.

“Something catch your eye, Hitomi?” Kakashi smirked. Damn, damn, damn. He saw me staring at Sasuke. That was probably the kind of reaction he was looking for. Curse him into the most fiery pits of hell.

“N-no!” I blushed. I pretended to squash a bug on my arm. But, in reality I was taking my anger out on myself.

“Right. Well, Tazuna, I guess you’ll be the only one in the tent. The rest of us will be sleeping under the stars.” Tazuna mumbled something under his breath before entering the tent. Kakashi made sure he was in before looking at me, finishing what he had to say, “I don’t trust Hitomi. She might try to attack Sasuke’s face, again.”

After five minutes Kakashi got tired of my trying to rip his face off. So, he sat on me. Yes, Kakashi Hatake was currently sitting in the middle of my back. No, I sure as hell didn’t enjoy it.

“Get off of me!” I wailed, kicking my legs and flailing my arms. He was killing my back. My god, how much does this man weigh? It couldn’t be no less than a freaking hippo.

“Not ’til you say you’re sorry.” He sung. I heard a page rustle over my head. He was reading his perverted book whilst sitting on me. Words could not even begin to explain how wrong that was. “Never!” I screamed.

“I hope you’re comfortable.”

“Naruto!” He was my best friend, right? And he said he’d save me, the next time something bad happened. Well, this definitely counted for one of those times.

“Yes, honey?” He joked.

“Save me!” I cried out. I felt as if I were becoming a pancake.

“No can do.”

“And why not?!”

“I like Ramen!”

“What the hell? What does that--oh….oh! I didn’t mean it! I swear to Kami if you don’t get this bum off of me, I’ll make sure you won’t be able to make it to the age required to be Hokage!”
