Chapter Seven- Late Again, Are We?

　

　

“Hey guys.” Kakashi waved, an hour later. “You’re late!” Sakura and Naruto yelled in unison. I rolled my eyes at the old man.

I had been enjoying a nice dream when he showed up. “Sorry, a black cat had crossed my path so I had to take the long way.” I sighed. Why did I get the feeling that this was going to become a regular ordeal?

Kakashi started explaining the ‘test’. Everyone was just now realizing why he had told us not to eat breakfast. I was feeling happily fed and smug.

“Hide.” He said and everyone disappeared. Except, of course, Naruto. Kakashi looked at him like he was extremely stupid. I wondered sometimes myself.

But still, I watched intently as Naruto got his arse kicked. By an old man reading a perverted book. I was so ashamed.

But there was more to Kakashi than he led us on to believe.

“Secret finger jutsu!” Kakashi yelled while he stuck two of his fingers up Naruto’s butt. I winced as Naruto went flying into the river.

Moments later Naruto was hanging upside down from a tree. Kakashi was lecturing something to Naruto as a kunai flew his way. It looked as if it had hit him, from someone who hadn’t been paying such close attention.

The aim was exceptionally good. I applauded whoever threw them, in my head of course. The old man had used a replacement jutsu. Nicely done.

Sasuke came flying out of the trees, fighting him next. I was contemplating whether to help him or not when Kakashi used an earth style jutsu. Now the only thing that could be seen from Sasuke was his head.

Sakura was taken out way to easily. All it took for her was seeing Sasuke and she fainted. Stupid, fragile girl.

I soundlessly climbed down from my hiding spot and cut Naruto down from where he was hanging.

“Naruto. Listen, if we’re going to get those bells, we need to work together.” I whispered in his ear. But Naruto shook his head.

“I’m going to be the Hokage one day. I don’t need your help!” I hit him over the head.

“But I need yours!” I bit back. He obviously doubted me. Why was he so stubborn? It’s good I have a plan.

Kakashi was almost taken down by Naruto’s clones earlier. If Naruto made a few clones, Kakashi would be to distracted by them to notice me. I’ll sneak in behind him, grabbing the bells. Then me and Naruto would pass. It’s perfect!

I whispered everything to Naruto and he nodded. He went into action, almost immediately. I stayed back, letting everything fall according to plan.

When I saw an opening, I made a clone of my own. Sending it in first. You could never be to safe. I soon followed after it. She went on one side of him and I went for the other. We both jumped on him as I grabbed the bells.

“Wahoo!” Naruto yelled when I showed him the bells. I ran and gave him a hug. “We did it!”

Kakashi was obviously stumped. He was standing awkwardly whilst scratching his head in confusion.

We were all seated by the posts. “I guess you guys all passed.” As soon as that was said Kakashi started lecturing the other three, while praising me. He praised Naruto, but only a little.

Kakashi was lecturing Sasuke the most. “You thought everyone was so beneath you, you didn’t even consider teamwork! You’re so arrogant you won’t let anyone help you! You’re such a fool.”

“Hey! You can’t talk to Sasuke like that!” Sakura yelled.

“Shut up, Sakura.” I said in a sing song voice. I was feeling giddy for figuring out the old man’s test. Kakashi’s lecturing was only helping matters.

I knew this day was going to be good!

I was practicing throwing kunai at the training grounds. How did Sasuke throw so good? I wasn’t ready to let him show me up, I had to get better. Just then the said person showed up. Great. I wasn’t in the mood for Mr. Moody. But I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass me up, either.

My revenge on Naruto would be good. And maybe I could get a certain Uchiha to learn how to smile? But revenge came first, always.

And the means making friends with Sasu-Gay. “Hey Sasuke!” I yelled out.

He looked at me once and started walking in the other direction. “Wait! No! Come back, I have to talk to you!” he hesitated. After what seemed like forever, he turned around and made his way towards me.

“What do you want?” he asked for the second today.

“You could really learn some manners. But I’m sor- s- so-…” I couldn’t seem to get the word ‘sorry’ out of my mouth. There was just something about Sasuke that made me incapable of apologizing to him.

“I didn’t mean to offend you earlier.” I said instead. He just shrugged and I stuck out my hand. “Are we cool?” I asked. He stared at my hand, then stuck his hands in his pockets.

“Sure.” I stared at my own hand, before slowly lowering it back to my side. Well, this is going to take a lot more work that intended. Why couldn’t Naruto hate someone less snobby? It seemed impossible now. But I vowed that I was going to make friends with the Uchiha. And that is exactly what I was going to do.

Did this seem shorter than normal to you? It did to me. Maybe I’m just getting faster at typing? Hmm, who knows? My typing skills aren’t that great. I’m slow. Sucks: (

SOOOOO, I might be uploading tonight or tomorrow, if I get bored. My friend has mysterious ways of working……and tomorrow is also mother’s day, so my mother will be up my butt all day. Lol, I love her though. We wouldn’t be here without our moms and I wouldn’t know what to do with out her. (Who else is going to cook for me? Jk!) I’m a lousy cook……….anywho I hope you enjoyed this chapter!:D
