greedy, needy, chase the money,
makes us Kings, Caliphs and Tyrants
enslaving and spoiling.
Palaces are bullet-proof
but not Bethnal Green
nor struggling Toxteth
We starve, but not Kings
feasting, fighting for more wealth;
monstrous queues of refugees
born from the greed;
they run, they pay, they're scared,
they drown, the children drown.
Getting to the top
it's likely you'll kick someone
into the gutter
and then you'll stand on the corpse.
No-one told me this at school;
so many blind eyes are turned -
but they are not blind -
they know exactly what they are doing.
