Dua's P.O.V
"And then he came and proposed HER !!!!! Can you believe it !!!! He literally proposed to her in front of the whole school . OMG this is sooo cuteee !!!" my best friend Sahar exclaimed .
"Okay Sahar I get it her proposed her in front of the WHOLE school . What should I do now ? Publish it in the news paper? " I asked irritated. She has been repeating this story for the past one hour.
Apparently Sahar had heard this rumour about a boy called Ahmed propose to his crush since 7th grade in front of the whole school with roses. Cute . I know but it doesn't sound cute after your best friend has been repeating the same thing for the past one hour .
Anyways I'm not the kind of person to be interested in all of this. I believe a man and a woman shouldn't have any sort of relationship before marriage. It's not like Allah hasn't made it halal for Muslims to be in relationships, it can all be done but after marriage. So my love story can wait ....."And then she said ........... " there she goes again .
We both entered our math class together. Ughh I literally hate math!!! I mean what am I going to do by finding Ms.Y if Mr.x misses her so much he can find for her himself . What pleasure does he get in troubling our poor souls .
"Dude, you sure your mom said yes for the sleepover?" Sahar asked for the 100th time! Yes . I counted the number of times she asked me.
"Yessss!!! For the love of Allah . She said yess." I replied now tired.
"So you'll be over by 7 right?" She asked . Gosh doesn't this girl get tired by taking . I mean after all even talking is an exercise, right?
"Yup!! Ifra and Shanaya will be there too right? I don't think I can handle you all alone for one night" I said.
"I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that and yes as a matter of fact they are going to be there. So you better come early" She ordered.
"Alright alright Assalamwalaikum, I'll see you tonight. In sha Allah." I said.
"Walaikumassalaam" she replied and we head our separate ways.
________________________"Assalamwalaikum . I'm home !!!!! " I yelled as soon as I came home. "Walaikumassalaam beta (daughter)" mom replied.
My family is the typical relegious family. I have 2 annoying brothers and one wise sister. My father works in Dubai so he is rarely home. As for my mother she is a housewife. You must be thinking that she has three siblings , how the hell is there no yelling around??
Well my sister is in college at the moment and my younger brother has gone to play football outside . Well boys and their obsession with football. And my elder brother works till night, so basically he'll be home only after Magrib.I go up into my room and change my clothes . I wear my navy blue colored maxi dress and pray Dhur and recite the holy Quran for some time . After all of that I go down and help mom set the plates on the table for lunch.
After about ten minutes my brother and sister come home and sit down to eat .
"Yousuf is still a kid but what about you Zara, atleast you are big enough to wash your hand before eating" mom screamed at the two of them. I watch mom yell at them with full anticipation like a pro. The happiness you get when your mother yells at your siblings is just unexplainable especially when she yells at your older siblings.
Anyways back to the story , after all the drama I basically went back to my room and started packing my clothes since I had a sleepover to attend.

Time: 5:30pm"Alright lady calm your nerves I'm coming ! Ya Allah Subha na ta Ala !" This is fifteenth time Sahar has called me. Yup I counted again.
Ding Dong
"Wait someone's here I'll call you later I cut the line hurriedly as I rushed downstairs.
As I descended downstairs I got biggest shock EVERRRR !!!! My DAD is here!! Yessss ladies and gentlemen my freaking DADDY is here!!!!
"DAD!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, as I hugged him tightly. He chucked as I hold onto him a little longer.
"What are your doing here? How are you? Are you on a holiday?(thanks for stating the obvious Ms. Smartpants)Did your miss us? How is Dubai? Oh wait are you for real?"I asked him all in a row, like seriously NO KIDDING!!
"Assalamwalaikum Dua. I came to see my wonderful family. Alhamdullilhah I am fine. Yes I am on a holiday. Obviously I missed you sweetheart. And yes I am for REAL." he replied answering all of my questions.
"Walaikumassalaam dad, but how did your boss let you come back , I mean the last time yo-" and he cut me off by saying "enough with the questions Dua, I am back now for the best Alhamdullilhah."
After a joyful family gathering I found out that dad is going to stay with is for three months!!!
And we'll about the sleepover , well I cancelled it since my dad is here . I'm a terrible friend , I KNOW , TRUST ME I DO , but you will understand what I mean if you have a father who lives faaaaaaaaaaar away from you....
After dinner we sat there watching television , when dad suddenly said "Dua , Ihsaan was telling me that St.Mary college is very good. He said he is enrolling his son over there too. You should also think about going there honey as your school is about to get over in a month".
"Yes dad I'll think about it" I replied.College is something I haven't thought about. As much as I love education ,I also respect my relegion . In india there aren't any all girls college and I don't find it comfortable around with boys. If I go in a Co - ed college I'm going to have to take care of my hijab akl tye time I go to school , lower down my guard and walk around with modesty. But my parents don't really mind me joining a Co - ed college, so I think I'll have to consider about the matter. Thinking about my college I slowly drift over in sleep............
