Now she understood why all those people had whisper or had stop talking when she passed by. It had been because of the proposal.
She whised she'd know so she could have prevent it. But sadly, the damage had already been done. She'd left Percy.
But there was good news, Annabeth finally had an idea why she just ran away. It was that voice. The voice from her dreams. It had told her to go away and run. She suspected that it wanted her and she was running right to the thing. Annabeth remembered the dream from last night a litte more clearly. A voice had told her that Percy was safe now because she'd do what the voice'd tell her. She guessed it had threatened to kill Percy if she didn't do what the voice asked her.
So she decided she would just keep running to the direction it had told her, the East. She'd rather be seperated from Percy than returning and getting him killed.
She'd been thinking so hard about this she didn't notice the three people until she ran into them.
'Whoa.' a ginger boy said shocked when they both fall on the ground.
Annabeth stood up quickly and saw a girl and two guys. They looked older than her, around twenty-five.
The red-haired guy also stood up and looked at her.The other boy drew..., Annabeth didn't know what it was. It looked like a stick but it must've been a weapon because it looked like he could attack any moment. She knew he'd seen her dagger so he thought she could be dangerous. Annabeth understood so she didn't got mad when he hold her under shot with a... Stick.
'Who are you?' he asked.
Annabeth hestitated. Should she tell those strangers who she was?
'Uhm.. I'm Annabeth,'she decided she'd better tell the truth because they were with three and she was alone.
'Why are you in these woods? Nobody ever comes here.'
Then why are you here? Annabeth thought but she decided she'd better not say that.
'How do you mean,'she said instead,'this is close to LA. It's not that the people there never go in the nature.'
'LA?' the girl asked,'you mean Los Angeles? In the USA?'
'Well, yeah of course.'
'This isn't America,' the girl continued,'you're in the UK.'
'What?' Annabeth yelped.'That's not possible! I was in San Francisco yesterday...how? What! Are you sure?' when she looked at them she knew they were sure. Oh gods, this was bad.
'How could she possible came here without notice it?' the red-haired boy asked the girl.
'I don't know.. Maybe she apperate with someone without knowing it?'
The boys nodded but didn't look convince.
'Well... I need to go.' Annabeth said.
'Uhm, where are you heading to?' the dark-haired boy asked.
'I need to go east.' of course she didn't said the voice told her that.
'That way?' the boy pointed at a way through the woods
'Yes...' Annabeth said, not quite understanding what was going on.
The boy turned to his friends,'That's the way to ...' the last word he mumbled so soft Annabeth couldn't understand. It sounded something like 'hokwars'
The girl nodded and spoke again,'I'm sorry, but you can't go that way.'
'Why? I need to go. It's important!'
'Sorry,'the red-haired boy said,'but that place is not for muggles.'
'Muggles?' she asked, the way they said it remined her at how she said 'mortals'
The trio looked at each other. They must had some silent agreement because suddenly the girl lifted her stick.
'Obliviate.' she said.
Annabeth's insticts took it over. She ducked and light flew over here. Annabeth kicked the wand out of the girl's hand.
'Who are you and what did you want to do with me?'
Before they could answer, Annabeth continued herself.
'Are you children of Hecate? Because that was certainly magic!'
'Hecate?' the red-haired boy mumbled to the girl.
'The godess of magic of the Greeks.' she whispered back.
'So you know her?' Annabeth asked.
'What? Personally? Of course not! She's a myth I've read about.'
'Uhm,' the black-haired guy continued,'shouldn't we do something about...this problem.' he pointed with his wand at Annabeth.
'Wait,'Annabeth said, she knew these guys were dangerous so she used her best plan. Keep talking.'I know you're not normal but neither am I. I'll tell my story and you tell yours. Then you can see if you still want me to forget this.'
'How do you know what that spell was?' the boy asked.
'Seriously? Obliviate, it looks like Latin. Obliviato.' When Annabeth saw there faces she continued,'it means forgetting.'
'Oh okay.' the black-haired boy said.
'Should we trust her?' the other boy asked.
'We can always erease her memory after her story.. I'd trust her.'
Annabeth started with her story when she was seven and ran away from home. When she finished, the three looked at her in disbelieve.
'So if I understand well. You are half god, half human?' Harry asked, they'd introduced theirselves as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
'Yeah.. I know it sounds ridiculus but it's the truth.'
'Well, if magic existed then why not the gods of Olympus.' Hermoine said, she laughed nerviously.
'So I can keep my memory?' Annabeth smirked.
'Yes, I think so and now it's our turn to speak.' Harry said.
And that's how Annabeth got 3 wizards as friends.
