Meryl looked out her window into the pond in her backyard. she checked her clock, it was 9:27.

"Gosh" she said and slowly got up out of her bed she put on her light blue crop top that showed off her Octopus tattoo that wrapped around her bellybutton piercing, an amethyst, her birthstone. she also put on her short shorts and put her long Carmel colored hair in a ponytail.

She put on her turquoise sandals and ran downstairs. She got out an egg and started making it sunny-side up. she ate enjoying the saltiness of the egg and also reminiscing about college

Meryl was 21 she had, had several boyfriends in college and several friends too. she thought about talking to Sophia, her bestfriend, but first Meryl would have to go out to the pond.

She took a beach towel and sunblock out to the summer sun. She was always drawn to water yet she had no idea why.

she opened her squeaky screen door and stepped out to her yard

"Splat! Crunch!"

"Freaking cat!" she muttered she had stepped on one her kitty Delanie's little "Gifts"  she went to clean up the mole guts and put on her other pair of sandals.

Now she headed out to the pond where she laid out her blanket and meditated.

"Sea-Bright!"

"What the Freak?" Meryl got up and looked in the reeds of the pond, nothing. she sat back down probably just my imagination she thought.

"Sea-Bright!" "Come now!"

"Oh god." she stood up and went to the edge of the pond. "Hello?"

"Water child, come now." ripples started in the pond.

For some reason Meryl felt drawn to the Pond she went a little rowboat she had, and started into the water. She stopped at a middle island and sat down.

"Child of the sea, come play with me."

a beautiful mermaid appeared out the water beckoning to her.

"Seashells, to hear your home, a creature as your pet, and seaweed in your hair! Pisces fair mermaid fair, Pisces fair mermaid fair"

Meryl touched her seashell bracelet, her octopus tattoo and her green highlighted hair. she felt as if she was in a trance she positioned herself and dived into the water.

The mermaid took her down further to the bottom where Meryl transformed, a beautiful purple tail and gorgeous long locks of hair.

Now every Pisces who lives in Meryl's beach house, comes to a terrible fate, a mermaid for life.
