Louis P.O.V.

I hung up the phone smiling to myself. I was never interested in Dezi before, but when I saw her last night, she just looked so gorgeous. There was something about her that wasn't there before. She had a wall up. A wall that she wanted someone to break down.

Though I know she would never admit this, it's true. You can tell by looking into her eyes. She doesn't want to be guarded, but I almost get the vibe she feels like she has no choice. Who can blame her with this world we're living in?

"Boo Bear's been bitten!"

I jumped as I heard someone scream right beside my ear.

"HARRY WHAT THE HELL?!" I yelled back at him.

"C'mon Lou, I think I've known you long enough to be able to tell what you're thinking." My best mate Harry said while chuckling slightly.

"What? What've I been bitten by?" I asked very confused. "And stop calling me Boo Bear for the last time!"

"The looooooove bug." Harry said.

"Oh shut up Harry." I said then made my way to the living room area to sit with the rest of the boys.

I lived with my 4 best friends in the whole world. We weren't really friends, more like brothers. We fought like brothers, which was a lot, and we loved like brothers also. It was Harry, Zayn, Liam, Niall and I living in a large flat in downtown London, England.

"So, who's the girl?" Liam asked.

"I'm not in love with anyone! Honestly, it's like an interrogation room in here." I said rather heated.

"Slow your roll, bro. Something's got you grinning rather largely, so tell us what it is!" Niall suddenly chimed in.

"Alright, ALRIGHT!" I finally gave in as Zayn was tracing his finger up my left forearm in an attempt to tease me.  " IranintoDezilastnight."

"Uhhh come again on that one Lou?" Liam said from the kitchen where he was fixing himself a snack.

I sighed, knowing I would have to tell them at some point, so it might as well be sooner than later.

"I ran into Dezi last night." I said slowly.

"YOU WHAT?!" They all four said in unison. It was times like these that I realized how unusually close we all were for four grown boys.

"Well, you heard me!" I said getting up to go to the kitchen and grab a glass of water.

"Wait a damn minute.  You can't honestly think that after hearing about this girl nonstop since we've met that we wouldn't make this a big deal. Holy shit Louis, this is huge!" Niall said more excited than anyone about this.

"At least try to tone it down a bit because she's meeting us all at Starbucks in ten minutes, and you four maniacs better not embarrass me in front of her!" I said, my eyes darting between the four eager faces in front of me.

It was Zayn who spoke first.

"No promises....."

Dezi's P.O.V.

I walked into the Starbucks feeling happy to be out of my house.  The feeling that my Mother was keeping things from me wouldn't seem to leave my head lately, and a break with some new people was just what I needed.  I spotted Louis in the back right corner of the quaint coffee shop and walked over as he was throwing straw wrappers across the table and landing them in a shaggy brown haired boy's empty cup.  I cleared my throat.

"Have I kept you all waiting long?" I asked.

"Dezi!" Louis stood up nearly knocking back his chair.  I stifled a giggle. "N-no not at all!  Here, have a seat!"

I sat down in between Louis and a boy with dirty blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes.

"Hello, I'm Dezi." I said sticking out my hand.

"Hey, I'm Niall!  So nice to finally meet you." He said, extremely friendly.

"Finally...?" I questioned looking back at Louis to see his face crimson red.

The boys around the table chuckled until the darker skinned one with chiseled features spoke up.

"Louis has mentioned you a few times here and there." He said smirking. "I'm Zayn, by the way, and this is Harry and Liam." He stated nodding to the boys on either side of him.

"It's very nice to meet you all." I said, starting to get uncomfortable with this many people around, and me being the new one to a group of what seemed to be long time friends.

It was almost as if Louis sensed my hesitation to jump into the various conversations happening around the table because it was then that he asked me if  I would like to walk around and look at the shops with him.

"That's fine." I said as a small smile appeared on my lips. "I hope I get to see you boys soon!  It definitely was a pleasure meeting you all!"  I said as I stood up and let Louis led me to the door with his palm on the small of my back.

It was unusual getting this gentle type of affection before.  I had never had it.  Not with family members, not even with the closest of my friends.  Not to mention that every relationship I had ever had somehow ended with me in utter disbelief that I had ever entered the world of dating again.

"I just want to tell you that I think you look beautiful."  Louis blurted out while we were walking down the sidewalk, my arm brushing his with every step.

I turned then and stopped walking altogether.  "Come here."  I said taking his warm hand into my small, cold one.  "I want to show you something."
