Ch. XV -Caught with a Sword-
---------------When I left the hall, I stood there staring at an empty road. I looked around for my car and saw nothing but a little bit of oil falling into the sewers.
I sighed, my car is stolen, just great. I started down the road, not wanting to bother Levy and her parents anymore. I started to put my hands in my pockets when I realised I was still wearing my black dress and converse.
My hands dropped to the side and my shoulders slumped. I was walking down the street in a black dress that showed more of my chest than I wanted.
I crossed my arms over my chest and put my head down, letting my hair cover my face. I started walking faster, all I wanted was to get home. I slowed my walk, thinking about calling a cab.
I decided to and looked around quickly, looking for any creepers. Finding none I reached and got my phone, it was in the only "pocket" I had. I think you know what it is. I turned on my phone and saw I had no signal.
I wanted to scream. Life, stop fucking with me. I dropped my arms to my sides, still holding my phone. I started walking again when I heard a car honk. I thought it was from the street one over since I hadn't seen any cars on the street.
I ignored the honk and kept walking. When I heard it again I stopped and turned to see a bright red Ferrari. And who was behind the wheel was probably the easiest question in the world.
The car stopped next to me and the window slowly rolled down. A head with pink spikes poked out with a smirk "Need a lift, Luce?" I glared at him then realised I didn't have too many options.
I sighed and went around to the other side of the car and got in, onto perfect leather seats. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad. I looked at my driver "Why are you doing this, Turnip?"
He smirked at me "I couldn't let such a pretty lady stay on the street." I let out an unattractive noise "I'm wearing converse." He smiled even more "You're so unique, I like that."
I turned away without saying anything else and waited for Natsu to start driving. When he didn't I turned and saw him smiling at me like a fool, like he was in a daydream. I stayed silent for a moment, wondering why he would be looking at me like that.
But then impatience kicked in and I waved my hand in front of his face "I don't know about you but I don't have all day, Turnip, hurry up and drive." He suddenly blinked quickly and turned towards the road with a blush on his cheeks "S-Sorry."
I sighed and turned away as Natsu started driving. It was quiet for a while until Natsu spoke up "Hey Luce...you want to come over to my place?" I considered saying no but hesitated, if it wasn't for Turnip I'd be on the street walking.
"Okay, but I want to change at my place first." He nodded and changed his course slightly for my house. I watched him out of the corner of my eye. Oh Natsu, what else are you hiding behind those big onyx eyes?

When we got to my house I started to open the car door when Natsu grabbed my arm "Be careful, will you Luce?" I frowned but nodded "...You too, Turnip." He seemed surprised at what I said and let go of my arm. I left the car and headed towards my door, feeling eyes on me.
I dismissed them as Natsu's and walked inside my house. It was empty and quiet though just a little too quiet. I cautiously walked farther into the house and lightly closed the door behind me. Expecting the feeling of being watched to go away, I realised it wasn't just Natsu and me here.
I moved to the coat closet and grabbed the dull sword my mum dances with. I held it in front of me defensively, it wasn't sharp but it was heavy enough to do damage with enough strength behind a swing.
My arms started to shake from the stiff position and I shifted a little, keeping the sword carefully in front of me. I kept my back to the wall as I moved through the house. When I approached my parents room I heard shuffling, like someone was searching for something.
Knowing how neat my parents were, it would take a stranger not to know where what they're looking for is. Unless it was a secret. I moved closer, my breathing slowed to a stop and I stayed out of sight, glad for my black dress.
I peaked in the room and saw a tall man with spiky blonde hair searching through some of the dressers. I watched as he moved around frantically, definitely looking for something important.
Suddenly a hand covered my mouth and nose. I quickly spun and swung the sword at my attacker. It was a similar looking man with black hair and red eyes. He stopped my sword a second before it hit him and he growled "Sad such a nice girl would have to resort to such violence.
The other man came up behind me "Find a little sneaker, Rogue?" The man in front of me scowled "I thought I told you not to use my real name, Sting." "Oh calm down, it's just a little Heartfilia." I couldn't say anything because of Rogue's hand but I muffled a sound.
"What was that, blondie?" The blonde man, Sting, asked. Rogue removed his hand slightly and I turned to Sting "Blondie? You're more blonde than I am!" He shrugged "Whatever, what do you want to do with her, Rogue?"
I looked at Rogue to see him smirking "You know, both the werewolves and the vampires are looking for her, maybe we should see who pays higher." Sting moved in front of me "Sounds fun, but we can't have her awake while we move her, can we?"
I knew what was coming as soon as Rogue said "No, we can't." I braced myself a second before a fist hit me hard in the face. I heard a slight crack as something broke, probably my nose. I fell to the ground and became dizzy as blood flowed down my lip, to my chin then the floor.
I heard some cussing before I was picked up and carried out of an open window. My head hit the side of the window because of the carelessness of the man carrying me. I looked back at my house before I blacked out. What was going to happen to me?
Sting and Rogue were kind of last minute, it was originally supposed to be Laxus and Gajeel but I like this better. <- little look into my mind there. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this and arigatou for reading!
