What Pain It May Bring

Chapter 10

Dr. Deaton was sitting in his office.... he had no appointments for the rest of the day.... when suddenly he felt like he was being hit with wave after wave of bricks to his stomach and head........ MAGIK... strong magik.... and it wasn't stopping....no in fact the strength was growing.... and growing.... he was trying to follow the energy back....it headed out of town.... it was coming from a mall.... it was Stiles.... good god....he was going to destroy the whole mall.... he felt this pulse building in Stiles and it shot out....it hit his astral self.... and knocked it back towards his body...he couldn't slow down...and knew this was going to be painful.... he slammed back into himself...hard...nocking him to the floor and smashing into the tiled floor.... he made a large indentation....stacking the all the tile in the room.... 

He stood up....and for the first time in a very long time..... Deaton felt fear.... he ran to his journals.... and began looking for information.... first he needed to find out who was the most powerful magik user in recorded history... secondly, what was the strength and thirdly, what they did with this much power.... as he began looking...and checking off to himself where Stiles' energy output was...then looking that he was above the warlock listed in his journals... in fact while Stiles was already above this Atlantian warlock in energy output... he had noticed that Stiles had kept growing...he needed to find out how high he would go.... but looking at the journal.... his eyes widened... he felt a shiver go up his spine... this warlock was believed to be the reason Atlantis vanished from the face of the earth... there was testimony from the few survivors of Atlantis.... all of these people said the same thing... that he had became upset and then all hell started breaking loose... the entire island was shaking.... the few that escaped.....watched as the large island nation exploded under a mushroom cloud...... 

What would some one more powerful be able to do.... what was the limits of  Stiles' power....were there any.... there has never been a case of a spark..... with the potential he had as a teen... going through an interdimensional ley line... being taught a magik from there .... a really strange energy... it feels strange for Deaton when he touches it..... he can always tell what type of magic.... by touch... the waves...the patterns....but his...it just burns.... like a star.... the patterns are so tight..the harmonics are deafening to listen too.... the waves hit you...all other magik cascades over you like a light wave..... his hammers into you like a rogue wave.... and then again Stiles went through another ley line to come back....he is saturated with magik...and he is probably intertwined with the ley lines how...hell he could probably use them to increase his powers.... there has only been two other recorded cases where some one has used the ley lines to augment their powers..... and those had not ended well at all either... massive disruptions.... Pompei was destroyed when a ley line was destroyed by a disrupting the line's power flow.... and again with Krakatoa in 1883.... these  two had been accidental explosive resutls of damaged ley lines..... and why did the ley line in the clearing stop?.... that is not a natural occurance... ley lines criss cross the earth... never ending .....looping back on themselves... 

He sighed.... he needed a few things and then he was heading for Hale house to see what limits Stiles had... and what could he do to help...damn he thought as his phone rang..... he knew it was from the council..... he was sure they felt that energy....he was sure probably every supernatural creature on this planet felt that power surge.... and soon .... very soon they would be on there way here.... he had to get this figured out....he had to get this undercontrol.... or he was sure..... the body count would be staggering....and the battles would be terrifing...so he answered the phone.
