What Pain It May Bring

Chapter 6

Time slowly passes... it was a whole day before Scott came out of his shock.... it was another day before he spoke to anyone.... he notices he has Stiles' phone and drops it like it's on fire....he stares at it for an hour before his mom takes it away.... he refused to go the clearing... and had even shifted in anger when his mother told him it wold be good for him....John has placed a missing person's report for Stiles after the 24 hour requirement... he's had 3 interviews with his officers.... Issac hasn't been to the Hale house since the day they found the shadow.... he only talks to the sherrif...and sleeps in Stiles bed.... no one has seen him in three days from the pack.

Four days and Derek hasn't shifted back from full alpha state..... he's barely left lying across the shadow of his mate.... he's hardly eating.... though Chris brings him food everyday...it's been five days since Jackson went to Danny's house and told him what happed... no one's heard from either of them.. ..it's been six days and Allison hasn't left Scott's side.... he still hasn't cried....he's all but shut down... he talks a little... as  long as it's not about Stiles... both Allison and Melissa don't know what to do to help him... he won't let them in... It's been seven days and Lydia hasn't spoken or taken any calls from anyone since she was told about Stiles.....she hasn't left her room....she won't tell her mom anything... what could she say.... Jackson hasn't even come to see her...or tried to call her.

Eight days and Erica hasn't come back to the Hale house.... she is staying with her parents....she stays in her room all day....coming out to eat...not saying anything...... she will only talk to Boyd....then it's short...but helpful.... she looks like she did before she got the bite.... weak and frail... and sad and in pain...nine days and the sherrif takes vacation.... to grieve and help Issac grieve.... he locks himself in his room... and cries when he knows Issac is asleep....  he has a bottle of whiskey and pictures of his wife and son on his bed.... he's cried himself to sleep every night..yet has only taken two drinks out of the bottle.... he's wondering what he's going to do..... he hears Issac start screaming again....it's been like this every night since he has been here....the boy has demons... and they haunt him every time he closes his eyes... it's like Stiles when his mother died all over again.

Twelve days and Peter is trying to get the pack together... he's trying to hold everything together.... Derek won't shift out of alpha... won't get up from where he lies protecting Stiles.... he talks to Derek everyday ....trying to get him to change back...to eat more....to leave....that he would stay with the shadow....all the wolf does is whine.... it takes everything to get him shift and go take a shower three days later.... he sees Derek is losing wieght.... there is no one at the Hale house when the alpha arrives... he's glad... he doesn't have to pretend he's ok...he doesn't have to talk to anyone... Deaton and the council have nothing..this is no energy they've seen or is recorded...it might be a new dimension... universe for a moment touched ours and sadly Stiles was in the way when that energy was released... he has nothing to give anyone.

Twenty days and still everyone is off....numb... not sure what to do next... John knows he would have drank himself to death if not for Issac...and he asks the boy to stay... to let him raise him... Issac agrees and they hold each other..... Scott broke up with Allison...he's not spoken to anyone.... he won't...they were the ones that killed Stiles.... his mom tries to get him to talk to a therapist..but he refuses..he just stays in his room and the clinic with Deaton.... Erica and Boyd have started coming back to the Hale house...though won't go to the clearing.... Derek never comes to the house when they are there.....Jackson starts bringing Danny to the house....he's all that's holding Jackson together at the moment.....Danny hasn't told anyone how he is feeling about Stiles' death... he needs to be strong for Jackson....Lydia moved to Boston to live with her aunt....her mother hopes she will snape out of whatever is going on with her.... Chris and Allison leave to visit family in Colorado....she tells Peter they will be back soon
