This week I tried to make the best of it. The winter formal was at the end of the week and I wanted Jack to ask me to go. I thought that he might ask someone else like Siarra, or Jalen would ask me out of the blue. I knew Jalen would never ask me, we knew each other too well. The tricky part was picking out a dress. I liked this royal blue dress with diamonds going around the waist but, unfortunately, I picked this grey strapless dress with a lace on my stomach and sparkles on the bottom. It was a nice dress, but I preferred the other one. Everyday it seemed like Jack would get closer and closer to me. He would wait for me at my locker and walk to lunch together or save me a seat. On Thursday, he finally asked me out to the dance. I was so excited. Nobody has ever asked me to go to a dance with them or even asked if I can be there Valentine. The best thing is that he asked me in person! He wasn't like the others. He was sweet and kind. I didn't care about the bad things he did I just liked the aroma that surrounded him. Finally it was Friday night and I was so nervous. What if everyone had a better dress on then me ? What if my friends aren't here yet ?

" You ready to get out the car ? " asked my mother.

"I guess so..." I said nervously.

As I get out the car and walk through the back doors of the school, I see everyone standing in line and near the front I see Stephanie, Allison, Kaitlyn, and Mariella.

" OH MY GOSH TIFFANY YOU LOOK SO PRETTY" Allison shouted.

"Thanks Ally" I reply.

As we were walking down the hallway toward the flashing lights we see all of our other friends and, also, wait for Siarra and Victoria. When they arrived the party started. I mostly danced with Allison and Siarra cause there best kind of people to go partying with.

"Tiff stop." Stephanie whispered to me. "Tiff..."

Little did I know Jack was watching me the whole time. Now THAT was embarrassing. While not knowing I accidentally bump into him.

" Were you watching me the whole time?" I said while laughing.

"Yeah" He said grinning.

" Awe you guys look so cute together" said Victoria.

Jack's hugs feel like a giant teddy bear, I can feel all of his love through a 15 second hug. And it wasn't like we were dating or anything, we were just friends. The whole night we basically danced the night away. The line for food was a long wait.

"Tiff, Jack is looking for you." Allison said.

"Ok." I replied.

I thought it was kind of cute how he was looking for me. I wanted to get off line and go look for him, but I was starving and that food smelt DELICIOUS ! He could look for me himself or go hang out with his friends. And that's exactly what he did. He found me standing on the line and then went to go hangout with his friends. After we ate, we danced... a lot together. When a slow song came on Siarra would try to make us dance together. Since he doesn't know how to dance, to make him feel comfortable I told him that I can't dance either. I lied to make it seem like we have things in common. Soon enough he got the hang of it. After that, a lot of people asked if we were dating. It seemed like the more people asked, the more I wanted him to say yes. Eventually, he did ask me out and it made my day. All of a sudden, we stared into each others eyes as if we were talking to each other without saying a word. I thought it was weird so I giggled, as usual. After that he pulled me into a kiss right in front of all my friends. I'm the type of person who doesn't like getting in trouble and kissing, was one way to. When the dance was over he gave me a goodnight kiss and left. Funny thing was we did get in trouble for kissing but he made it the best night I ever had and I'll never forget it.

"How was the dance ?" asked my mom.

"It was cool." I replied.

She doesn't need to know what happened. I'll just keep what happened at the dance lowkey.
