I'm uploading two parts and this author's note all at once, so make sure you read the other chapters first.
(if you don't want to read this, at least skip to the serious part, it contains information that is kinda important. Thank you ^_^)
WOAH!! IT'S ALL FINISHED!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!
Haha, okay, first of all, the rough draft for this chapter was absolutely horrific. I just let myself write what I call the skeleton, which is basically getting down what I want to get down before editing it later, and...seriously, you have no idea DX I'm sorry if anybody was super hyped about a great conclusion, that was kind of a bad ending chapter, even edited.
This story was the product of daydreaming on the way home from a fishing trip a year or two ago. The line "Would you help me heal?" (or maybe it was just that phrase) was the very first thing that popped into my head, and it kind of just went from there- the structure, the kidnap plot, and the rest of the story. It was also kind of during my BVB obsession, which I've passed through, but I continued it anyway.
I know I did it a lot in previous chapters, but once again, I'd love to thank all of you for following and reading this story, whether you came from deviantART or started here; thank you for all the comments, the support, and everything. This story has over 10k reads and all I can say is, wow. Every time I got an email saying one of you had commented, it brought a smile to my face. Thank you so, so much. (now please, go comment on other peoples' work. Be kind, compliment the authors, because it's so encouraging to have people read the crappy fanfiction I write and even better when better authors get support on the great fanfiction they've also worked hard on.) Also, thank you for the support during my hiatus/break and for all the lovely comments during that month.
Fun fact, for April Fool's Day I was going to write a chapter saying that I had decided to discontinue this fic, but I either forgot or was too lazy, or maybe I decided that it was too cruel for some reason? I don't even remember.
Now that we have those notes aside, let me get to the serious part.
~SRS BSNESS~
A few days ago, I decided to discontinue my long-running fanfiction titled Choice, which I had been writing for almost two years. It was getting to be too much of a chore, I wasn't that interested in the writing anymore, and I was determined to finish, but it was so draining. I need to focus more on personal and professional writing, not fanfiction, as much as I love it. I have so many ideas for stories but none of them have been written because of the fanfiction I've been working on. I honestly am so reluctant to discontinue, as I hate it when other people discontinue really good fanfiction (not saying that mine is really good, but just stating that as a general thing), but I decided that night that it was time.
I'm going to be on hiatus. I don't know how long, but I will be. I'm not going to be working on Fanfiction.net, and I'm not going to be working on fanfiction here. Seriously, I have some great ideas for fanfictions- for Dan and Phil fanfiction, for MCR and maybe a few others. But it's time for me to grow into my boots a little.
I mean, I'm considering writing as a secondary career/something on the side, but how can I grow if all I write is draining me? That's why I'm doing this. And I love all the ideas I have, but for the time being, I can't really make them work for me.
Question: what would you guys think if, in my spare time, I uploaded some partially finished stuff that probably wouldn't be finished but would still be up here? Like, some ideas that I bought into but never really continued? Would you guys like that?
There. Thank you for everything, guys. I may or may not be still active on Wattpad; I might read and follow fanfiction from time to time, but after two or three years of this stuff, I should rest. Love you, you are all amazing!
