Day 5 of being kidnapped

3 days to live

You all decide to wait a night, resting it off before what you are about to do. Perhaps you will be lucky, and there will be nobody waiting out there. Or perhaps they are only waiting for you to make a move.

The official plan is to wait until they come for mealtime and leave again. That will give all six of you at least two or three hours to get out, if you don’t run into them sooner.

Stop the negative thoughts, (Y/N), you tell yourself. We’re going to get out of this alive, we are going to escape, Andy is going to be okay… But something stops you from believing that entirely as you close your eyes in the darkness. Nobody else seems to be awake, although you had secretly hoped Andy would be. You drift off to sleep.

OoooOoooO

            “(Y/N)! (Y/N)!”

“Huh?” You murmur, your eyes fluttering open to Jinxx standing over you.

“Get up!” He whispers loudly. “They’re coming!”

You sit up and see that everyone else is awake, waiting for breakfast. Then you hear the footsteps outside. I can’t believe what we’re about to do, you think once more as the door bursts open.

“’Ello,” Kevin greets, placing a plate with one sausage on the ground in front of you. He leaves abruptly, not speaking another word.

“That was strange.” CC reaches for the sausage, tearing it into almost even portions.

“I wonder if any of them feel remorse for what they’re about to do,” Jake ponders.

“I highly doubt it,” Andy replies. “They are pretty serious.”

It doesn’t take long for you to finish your meal and you all stand up together.

“Are we ready for this?” Ashley says, looking around at all of you. In turn, the rest of you nod, exchanging serious looks. This has to work, or you will all be pretty much screwed.

“Let’s go, then. Everybody stay silent, I want to make sure there’s nobody outside.” You slow your breathing as he lies down and puts his ear next to the crack underneath the door, trying to relax yourself. Your heart is pounding just out of excitement and nervousness. You could be free, after 5 days with your favorite 5 guys in the world, free from the harsh events and the harsh captors who perpetrated them. You could see your family, your friends, your little brother. It’s exciting, even too surreal.

“We’re good,” Ashley mutters, standing back up with Jinxx’s help. “I don’t hear a soul out there.”

“So, are we just going to knock down the door, or what?” You question. You feel Andy come beside you, standing so close that your shoulders touch. Perhaps it’s just a friendly, comforting gesture, but your face still heats up.

“That’s the plan,” CC comments, pursing his lips tightly.

“If all six of us work together, I’m sure it’ll come down,” Jake adds. Taking the hint, you all stand as close to the door as you can, or when there isn’t any more room, you and Andy stand behind Jinxx and Jake, ready to support them. “Everybody ready?”

            “Yes.” You chorus.

“Okay, on three. One.” You feel your muscles tense up behind Jake. Your mind is running like a set of gears, turning faster and faster with every passing second. Adrenalin has found its way into your system already.

“Two.” Out of the corner of your eye, Andy is fidgeting. You make brief eye contact before Jake utters the last number.

            “Three. Push!”

With a groan, you and Andy and the rest of Black Veil Brides heave against the door with one strength, one body, one muscle. You can feel it wobble underneath your combined weight; it must be strong, but perhaps all of you are stronger.

“That’s good, guys,” Ashley encourages. “Once more. Same position.” Your shoulder hurts. “Three…two…one!”

The collective grunt that ensues from five athletic band members and one PE-failured teenager is almost hilarious. Like magic, the door gives way and slams loudly against the wall. CC winces at the sound.

“Well…that’s that…” Andy mutters as you exchange eye contact with the rest. “What are we waiting for? Let’s get out of here.”

You don’t realize just how weak you are until your legs attempt to support your malnourished body. Within a few feet of trying to run you collapse- so little food and water for almost a full week…it’s horrifying how crippled you are. Not to mention you aren’t particularly athletic anyway. Maybe I should’ve taken that PE class.

“Come on guys!” You push yourself up, trying to encourage them and yourself. The six men look up at you with weak groans.

            “Really, (Y/N)?” Jake complains.

“(Y/N)’s right, we have to get going. They’ll have heard that racket we just made,” Jinxx steps in. You walk over to him and offer him your hand, pulling him up. Then you both help the rest of BVB onto their feet. “That’s right, Jake…come on, Ash. You can do it.”

“(Y/N)…Please…” Andy looks up at you desperately. “I-I don’t think I can go on.”

“We just started,” you protest. “This is our chance at freedom.”

“Please…I’m better off gone. Just leave me behind.”

“No.” Ashley stands beside you, his arm around you protectively. “Andy, you have to listen to (Y/N). Come on.” He leans down for you and pulls the lead singer up onto his feet, however grudgingly the subject behaves. “Now are we ready? Take it slow, guys.”

Instead of attempting to sprint this time, you and BVB go at a slow jog. The boys nearly collapse once more, as do you, but you keep murmuring words of encouragement to them. Andy huffs and puffs beside you at the back of the group.

This hallway is a blank canvas, no signs of your assailants in sight. There’s a door and a right corner at the long end. You are sure you can make it, you are running closer and closer and closer and…

Just ten feet from the door, out of the corridor, something stops you in your tracks.

The grinning faces of your enemies.
