Okay before we get started I just wanted to apologise for how long it took me to get these chapters up, I honestly thought I was putting them up as I went along, turned out I never actually pressed the publish button, so we're going to do it like this. Make some sort of event out of my stupidity.
6 chapters, 2 days, 20756 words in total (before editing, which will add more) So here's chapter 20 and over the next fourty-eight hours chapter 21, 22, 23, 24 part 1, 24 part 2 and finally 24 part 3 will all go up (A lot of things happen in Chapter 24, hence the THREE PARTS) So, here we go. Next chapter should be up by 6pm tonight.

About ten minutes later, and only hearing two more shots, we managed to scramble our way around the front of the house William's house. We both crouched behind the Jeep that Oscar had picked me up in only a few hours ago, when it was still light. Now, the sun had gone behind the mountains and the temperature had dropped again dramatically. Behind us, the wall that separated the wild woods on the mountain side from the Williams house. However, the woods opposite, leading down to the water school and the ski lift, could still hold the shooters. But within the minute or so we hid behind the car, restless, no one made a show.
'Can you see anything?' I whispered to Oscar, his arm around my waist some kind of anchor which provided support and comfort. I realised, only when looking at him after the events of today that I had started to fall deeper in love with him. Quickly, I banished the thought. Now wasn't the time for soppy emotions.
'Nothing, can you... sense anything?'
'No.'
'Let's just make a run for it, okay?' He looked over at me, leaning forward just to kiss my forehead. I nodded, and he smiled slightly at me 'Let's go in three, two and one.'
Both of us ran across the gravel which was slightly slippy to the front door, my shitty canvas shoes making little grip on the cobbles, but I managed to slide into the house after Oscar, before he slammed the door without looking, and I heard the little clicks of the door locking itself. I stood isolated in the hallway, kicking off my shoes which I'm pretty sure had to be thrown in the bin when I went home. Oscar quickly looked around all the rooms of downstairs, and when he got back to the hallway just whistled.
'Everyone's still out.' He simply said, his back turned to me as he ran up the stairs to the first floor. I aimlessly trailed up the stairs, not willing to leave him alone. He quickly did a check of each room, before walking down the hallway and up the stairs onto the second floor. He zoned out a bit, and came back around. 'Dad said they're going to come back now – there was only two of them who took off when they realised we were gone. Ella's still out there, though, but she said she's turning home now.' Oscar turned back around to me, realising that I had gained a fair few cuts and bruises during the run down the mountain, including a fairly attractive scrape on my face, and a large cut on my leg which had also sliced open the leggings I was wearing. 'You're hurt!'
'Not really...'
'Hope, I can literally see you're bleeding – don't argue with this one.' He said, guiding me into the bathroom on the top floor of the house. It was quite small as it goes – a bath with a shower in on one side of the room, a sink with a cabinet below it and a medicine cabinet above, and a toilet. From the looks of the place, and remembering the last time I was here, I knew that Ella's room was on the top floor of the house as well as Oscar's. Os guided me to sit on the corner of the bath, and ran the warm towel for a second. He then soaked a face towel, ringing it out slightly so it didn't drip and walked over to me with it. He crouched down in front of me, putting his hand on my hand, but because his hand was large it manage to also touch my knee.
