"Everyone, come here!"
Aiah's voice echoed from the living room, making everyone pause whatever they were doing.
"What happened?" Gwen asked as she walked in from the hallway.
"Did Christine break something?" Yves immediately followed.
"I heard my name," Christine said, appearing behind them. "I assume something good is happening."
Aiah laughed.
"No one broke anything. Lindtsey finished editing the photos."
That was enough to gather everyone.
The living room slowly filled with familiar faces. The suitcases were already lined up near the door, ready for their trip to the airport later that afternoon. The paper bags of souvenirs were carefully placed beside them, reminders that even a few days could create a surprising amount of memories.
Lindtsey connected her laptop to the television while everyone settled around the room.
"Okay," she announced. "Before anyone complains, I only chose the best ones."
Christine raised her hand.
"I have a concern."
"What?"
"Are there embarrassing pictures?"
"Yes."
"Then I have several concerns."
The room burst into laughter.
Chico leaned against the doorway, watching everyone with amusement.
"You know, I think half of this trip was just everyone trying to embarrass each other."
"That's called friendship," Christine replied.
"That's called chaos," Chico corrected.
"Same thing."
The first photo appeared on the screen.
Everyone standing in front of one of Cebu's historic landmarks, smiling under the bright afternoon sun.
"That was our first day," Nica said softly.
"It feels like a month ago," Francheska replied.
"Because Christine made every day feel longer."
"Excuse me?"
"Not in a bad way."
"Good save."
Everyone laughed.
The next pictures showed their city tour.
Magellan's Cross.
The Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
Fort San Pedro.
The streets they walked through while trying different food spots.
The colorful corners of the city they almost missed because Christine kept stopping whenever she saw something interesting.
"I still think stopping for souvenirs was important," Christine defended herself.
"You stopped every ten minutes," Yves said.
"Because every ten minutes I discovered something important."
"You bought a keychain shaped like a guitar."
