She had to get there before midnight, or so she had been told. She was meant to meet a guy who called himself- the dead angel. It was quite a weird name she thought. This was how she found herself running in the middle of the night through the forest. She felt branches scratch her bare arms causing little pinpricks of pain.

She wondered why she was doing this, and remembered the stigma and the looks. But, the looks where the worst especially from her relatives. Some looked at her maliciously, some angrily, some with irritation, but the worst were the ones that looked at her with disgust. It was depressing and she just couldn't seem to get it out of her head. If only everything could just end and she could give birth to a child she thought. She couldn't believe she was six months pregnant and running through the forest. If someone had told her three weeks ago that she had been doing this, she would have laughed in their face and called them a liar. But, with the way things were going, she would do anything to save her unborn child. Absolutely anything.

She finally got to the gates of the cemetery and thanked her stars. She hoped everything worked out well. After all, she had put so much into this. The gates of the cemetery were brown with rust and lots of cobwebs and dead insects clung to it. She didn't want to touch it, and so used her legs to open it. Immediately she entered , she felt the whole place pulsating with energy. It was like a strong electric current pulling you in so many different directions at the same time.
For a brief moment, she was disoriented, but found her bearings and opened the A6 lined paper given to her by Nicole. Nicole was her colleague at work and although she was usually nasty to her, she had suddenly started to become very nice. Too nice in fact. It was because of Nicole's suddenly nice nature, that she found herself in this situation. Somehow it was as if everything came down to this. As if all the being nice was an act to finally lead to this moment.

The graves looked strange. Instead of being rectangular shaped, they were squarish and each of the tombstones had an animal carved on top of it. The trees in the grave yard where tall, lean and devoid of any leaves. She continued walking and finally got to her destination. It was secluded from the other graves and had two trees hanging over it as if they were protecting it and shielding it from the world. The grave was spotlessly clean unlike the others and had white tiles in the sign of a cross which was surrounded by black tiles. It had "King of evil, Rest in Pieces " and the date 1940 to 2014 written on the tombstone. The animal on the grave was an eagle with black glassy eyes.

She walked to the left of the tombstone and used all her strength to push it backwards. It opened to reveal a dimly lit staircase. She gathered all the courage she could muster and started down the stairs.
