Football and a break up

*Kayden's P.O.V*

I have a huge problem, I think to myself. Well, its many problems that are alike to make a bigger problem. One is that I'm a teacher, two I have a girlfriend, three I just meet her. These are all the problems keeping me from having Calista. I know I just met her but it's just one of those things. As the day goes by I get to know her more. It's the end of the day and she is off to the play meeting. I had told her that when she is done to come down to the football field. I get the team down there and within fifteen minutes Calista is walking down the hill to the field.

"Hey so you ready to start your half of the deal?" I ask.

"I was born ready," She says.

"Boys come here," I yell and they all run over to me. "Boys this is Calista, she is going to be the manager, so be nice to her because she will be around and I give her permission to put you guys in your place if need be," I say.

"Got it couch," They say in unison.

"Now go continue practice," I say. "Well let me show you the room with the water bottles and the water so you know where to do that for the future,"

"OK sounds good. Oh and play starts next week, and could you tell your boys to stop looking at me like that. I don't understand why they do it and they way they are staring makes me nervous," She says.

"Calista I'm just gonna come right out and say it, you are a very beautiful girl and they all look at you like that because they all want you," I say.

"Well, honestly I didn't think anyone would ever think that about me or want me in anyway shape or form," She says.

I have to refrain myself from saying anything about how I feel about her or at least while we are on school property. I show her the room and show her how to do everything and I tell her I have to leave to go talk to a friend who is visiting, when in all reality it is my girlfriend who is at my house cause she is visiting for the week. Luckily I live three blocks away so it quick to get there. I walk into the house and tell her that I need to talk to her.

"So I think that we should break up," I say.

"You know I actually have been thinking the same thing which is why I packed my stuff up," She says.

"Oh well that worked out, it's a mutual agreement. Well, I will get out of your hair see you around," I say as I walk to the door

"See you around, maybe I'm probably moving really far away," She says as I walk out the door. As I walk out the door a huge weight is lifted off of my shoulders. I drive back to practice just as Calista is walking out the door with the water bottles.

"You ready for practice?" I ask.

"Of course," She says.

Practice flies by and then Calista gets her stuff and follows me with her car to my house to do homework. We get it done and just start asking question. We learn each others birthdays, worst fear, things we love and things we hate. I learn that she has been in the foster system and just did schooling there until she turned 18 three months ago, and got a job and is paying for a house and living on her own and everything. I learn that she use to self harm, but stopped when she started to watch this youtube group called O2L, they showed her that life has its ups and downs but is worth living and that she is worth it. She learns a lot about me too, like my relationship with my parents has always been bad and that I just broke up with my girlfriend, also that I have self harmed and attempted suicide and how I got to where I am today.

By the time we are done talking it is almost midnight and she has to leave to go to her own house.

"Well I gotta get going. Thank you for helping me with my homework, it was great to get to know you a little more Mitchell," She says.

"I had a great time talking to you, and like I said I will help you with homework any day as long as you continue to be the manager. You know what you can call me Kayden, as long as you don't call me it during school, as it would be frowned upon," I say.

"OK, I think I can do that," She says. "Well, I will talk to you tomorrow Mr. Mitchell, I mean Kayden,"

"So would you like me to show you to your first class tomorrow, or do you think you can find it?" I ask.

"If I have trouble finding it I can just ask Brooke," She says. "OK, well I will see you tomorrow in seminar," I say

"Yep see ya," She says and walks out the door.

When she walks out I feel kind of alone. She had been here for so long and I really enjoy her being around and I am glad that we made this deal and we get a chance to know each other. As I think about all of this I walk to my room and lay down and slowly drift off to sleep thinking about what tomorrow has to bring for us.
