Traveling Day

I opened my eyes, but shot them closed at the same moment. "Damn sun," I muttered as I slowly opened my eyes again. I sat up in my bed, stretched and yawned, then grabbed my phone to check the time. "5th of July, 11.24am. Man, this is way too early to be up....... HOLD YOUR HORSES! The 5th!? Hell yeah!! Time to go to my dear homeland!" I started laughing and got up to get dressed.

"Hey, mom! When are we leaving?" I ran downstairs to get some breakfast, and screamed at my mom at the same time. "We're leaving in about half an hour, honey. Get something to eat and drink, and pack your bags in a hurry if you haven't done it yet." "Ok." I sat down to get something to eat, and started thinking about what might happen while I were there.

*bzzzzzzzzzzz* I jumped by the sudden vibration, and took my phone from my pocket.

"Hey! Where are you? Have you left yet?"
"Hey! No, we haven't left yet. I'm still in Edolas. We're leaving in half an hour."
"Ok! When will you be here?"
"I'll be there around 15, 15.30pm I think."
"Ok. See you then?"
"Definitely! See you later :) Bye."
"Bye. :P"

I locked my phone, and couldn't help the smile that appeared on my lips. I hate what he does to me. I finished my piece of bread, ran upstairs and started packing my bag. It took less than two minutes to press all my clothes together and zip it closed.

My name's Rose, and I'm sixteen years old. I have shoulder length brown hair, dark brown eyes, and I'm quite slim. I'm on holiday in Edolas, a small village in a valley. My grandpa's from there, so I, my mother and three siblings are visiting my mother's cousin there. We've been here five days already, and now we're going to the place we lived before, another village about three hours from Edolas called Abbys. We lived there for four years after my mom and dad got divorced, and I love the place. There I'm going to meet up with my best and oldest friend, Cole. We've been friends for years, and we were even a couple once. Cole is a little bit taller than me, has blue eyes and blonde hair and he is quite muscular. And, in my eyes, quite handsome as well. ¨

In a way, seeing him again makes me quite sad, because this'll probably be the last time I see him in a couple of years, and I hate the thought of it. I'm going to miss him a lot.

Anyway. I zipped my bag and ran downstairs with it. "Mom? Are we leaving soon?" "Yes, come here with you bag and I'll put it in the car." I handed my bag to my mother, and sat down in the front seat. "You better work as you're supposed to this time, you worthless, good-for-nothing piece of metal," I mumbled with clenched teeth. Every single time we've travelled somewhere with this car, it's stopped working. "Hey, BOYS! WE'RE GOING NOW! COME ON!!!!" I shouted to my brothers, and they climbed inside the car. A moment later, my mom got in beside me, and started the car. I found my phone and my headset and started the music. As the "calm and relaxing" music of Motionless In White blasted in my ears, I fell asleep.

When I woke up, we were at the house we were staying in, and my phone started to buzz with texts.
"Hey! Where are you? How far have you come?"
"
Hey! We're here now."
"Ok. Should I come down there, or you up here?"
"
You can come here. I can't handle more car right now."
"Ok. See you in a bit."
"Sure :)"
