How To Get Inspired To Write A Story.

Using Music As a Source Of Inspiration.

Who doesn't like music? People say; "Music is the language of the soul." I truly believe that. Music can make you feel things so intense that's is difficult to describe and the great thing about music is that it doesn't require a lot of time reach climax. In the old days the only way to listen music was going to a concert or by playing it. Now days with the modern technology all you have to do is to press some buttons put your headphone on or use speakers and that's it. Music is very reachable and effective. Is an amazing way to find the inspiration you need.

Before I start writing I like listen to music. You can use music to get in the mood you need to write the next nest scene of your story, especially if it's a very important or intense scene on you story. What I mean to get in the "mood" is to have the right feelings before start writing. For example if you're about to write a sad scene, listen to sad music or songs like; Celine Dion "My Heart Will Go On", Selena Gomez "The Heart Wants What It Wants." If you're about to write a strong scene like a action or fight scene, play your favorite rock or electronic song. Like David Guetta "Titanium" or even Taylor Swift "Bad Blood". But for me the best way to find inspiration through music is listening to instrumental music. And I'm not talking only about classical music of piano songs, it can be any type of music like; rock, pop, ballads, electronic, etc. The most important thing is that the song must have minimal or no vocals. The reason why is because most of the time when I listen to my favorite vocalists songs I don't worry about finding inspiration I just sing your heart out. And yes, I may get in the right mood but sometimes I'm still not inspired. When I listen to instrumental music the only voice I hear is the voice of my soul and I usually get the best ideas while listening to instrumental music.

Other thing that music can do is to take you to different places and different times. Music has the power of teleportation and time traveling. If you want to write about a certain region or country you can listen to music related to that country or region. The same thing applies when you want to write about a certain time period because you can find and listen to music related to that moment in time. Music can help not only to get inspiration but also to get a clear picture of how the life is in an certain regions or periods in history. Even if your writing about the future there's a lot of futuristic music out there that can help you to imagine the world in the future.

Nevertheless, anyone can lose inspiration at any time, even if you're writing the best scene ever. If I get in that situation and nothing else works for me I just stop, give it a moment, listen to some good music and it comes back to me. Music is a great way to get inspired. A lot of people don't know the real power of music. It's a great power that writers can use in their advantage to write an amazing story. Remember music as well as literature, they're both part of arts so they can work perfectly together to create something new.
