Standing at the edge of the platform atop the horn of Tanngrisnir I could see the whole capital of Capricorn District. Skyscrapers shot up into the sky, buildings of all shapes and angles. Still, nothing could touch the horn of Tanngrisnir. Named after one of the goats that pulled Thor’s chariot in Norse Mythology, Tanngrisnir is the tallest human structure in the global world. Just to be at the top you absolutely need to wear an oxygen mask and a suit to protect yourself from the dangerous cold.

I was up here for only one reason though, to supervise the Arien activity. Although seperated by the quiet Aquarian and Pisces Districts the telescope at the top of Tanngrisnir was strong enough to see hundreds of miles away and appear at close range. I was assigned here immediately by my Private Academy after Code 105: Bloodshed was enacted in Capricorn District. Everyone was trapped in their homes, bright lights lighted up into the night sky. Bloodshed was a technological code that shutdown all internet servers in Capricorn District in cases of warfare so no one could hack any information.

Finally I looked into the telescope. I saw the Arien Red House, a grand building of red marble. It was a very noticeable building, especially around the shore area. At night it was important I didn’t look at an area too long, or they might notice a scope glare. There, at the entrance to the Red House. It was Adrian Carter and the 2nd Commander. I remember them from reading several newspapers on my study of Local Governments.

Adrian Carter had just come back from an exploration of the Sol Island outskirts. I pointed my lens away and then back, there was now a third person coming out from an armored vehicle. That’s…the Libran Prime Minister? The puzzle just got larger and larger. Why would an Arien be consulting with a complete opposite? That’s quite dangerous. Although, I heard a Libran researcher had assisted Adrian Carter with a secret project.

Something suddenly caught my mind. Is that…a scope glare? Sniper! I hit behind the pole so fast it probably rang the top quarter of it. A bullet just started wizzing by the other side of the pole and tore a piece of it off. I needed to get out of his sight, before he tore a hole through me. The elevator was several meters away and in a clear view of the sniper.

Quickly, I ran. One, Two, Slide! The floor of the platform was clear shiny metal so it was to fall down with my momentum and slide into the open elevator I quickly stood up, pushed the button to the bottom floor, and clung to the corner. BAM! The bullet came from the left and pierced all the way to the right side just a few inches in front of me. Go down, go down! It came from the top! I ducked as the third bullet came in on me. Finally the elevator zoomed down. They were serious-about the war.
