CHAPTER 2

"So where are we going?" Asked Angie.

"Where ever I want to go" the gun man replied.

"I still don't know your name"

"My name is Tommy, but you can call me Tom"

"My name is Angie."

After they introduced each other they walked half an hour in total silence. Breaking the ice, Angie decided to ask some questions to get to know her kidnapper a little better.

"So, what do you do for a living?"

"I steal and deal" Tom said.

"Your not going to make me work for you, are you?"

"No your too young and not sexy enough."

"So where are we staying?" Angie asked.

"At a hotel, but we're only staying for two nights" Tom explained.

Roaming the streets looking for Angie, Chris got followed three times. One of the men who followed Chris was a wanted rapist but Chris fought him off.

Chris checked Angie's sleeping spot to see if she was there. It was empty but, he did see the note she left behind. After he read,it he was on his knees crying like a baby.

He stayed there for two days in the dark, foul smelling alley. He didn't do what the note said, which was to take care of her mother.

Chris hadn't eaten in days, so he has lost 10 pounds.

He didn't visit Angie's mother until five days after Angie's kidnapping. When he did visited her, she almost died, but the doctors rushed in to save her life. Heather and Chris had so many unanswered questions they had for Angie but there was n way of asking her.

When Tom and Angie arrived at a hotel, they had to sleep on the same bed, but Angie was not comfortable with that, so she slept on the floor. Once again she used her bag of money as a pillow.

"If you want, you can have a pillow" Tom offered.

"No!" Angie said quickly.

"What's in that bag that's so special anyway? You've been clinging on to it ever since I met you"

"None of your business".

While Tom was in his deep sleep coma, snoring as Loud as can be, Angie got up as quietly as she could, so she could escape. While she was in the middle of quietly sneaking away she suddenly didn't hear Tom's snoring anymore.

"Stop right there!!"

Angie slowly turned around. It was Tom holding his gun up to her head.

"I...I wasn't leaving, I was just getting some fresh air, it's hot in here." She explained hesitantly.

"Do you actually think m stupid enough to believe that bogus story of yours? To keep you from escaping I'm going to tie you up and put you in the closet."

So he aggressively tied her up with ome duck tape and shoved a sock in her mouth to keep her silent. Then he threw her in the tiny closet like a bag of rocks. Knowing that she couldn't escape, put his mind at ease and he slowly began to drift back t sleep.

When morning came, Tom took Angie out of the closet. She was drenched in sweat and passed out. Her skin was a pasty white color and she trembled like a drug addict going cold turkey. After a few seconds of trembling, she suddenly stopped an passed out. Tom briskly walked to the bathroom and filled a cup up with some cold water, then he ran back to where Angie was was and poured it on her face. Angie jerked up and yelled, "I want my mom!"

"Shut up, your mom isn't here. I'm going to untie you, so don't do anything stupid".

"You know I'm not scared of you" Angie mention as Tom was walking away.

"Then why didn't you leave last night?"

"Because you we're holding a gun to my head and it was late at night, so if I was to runaway I wouldn't be able to see where I'm going."

Tom just smirked a little then asked, "Are you hungry?"

Angie shook he head yes.

"I'll be right back. Don't-go-anywhere." Tom said walking out the door.

When Tom was gone, Angie scurried for the phone. Instead of calling 9-1-1, she called the hospital. The phone started ringing (phone conversation)

-nurse "hello, this is the hospital"

-Angie "Hey, my name is Angie and my mother is Heather Santez. Can I please speak to

her?"

-nurse "Umm...I'll have to check to see if she's awake. "

While Angie waited for the nurse to get back on the phone she heard the door knob jiggle. It was Tom trying to get in.

Angie hid in the closet with the phone wire hanging out of the door.

When Tom got in he slowly followed the phone wire o the closet door.

Angie was in the dark, wide eyed trying to control her heavy breathing. She was hoping he was stupid enough not to follow the cord to the door.

-nurse "Your mom is awake. I am transferring you to her room."

-Angie "......"

-nurse "Hello....hello?"

Tom opened the door, "What the hell are you doing?" He asked yanking the cord off the wall. "What are you, stupid?!!. Just for going behind my back and calling, who knows who?!, you aren't getting any breakfast. If your good, you might get lunch." Tom explained

"You're no getting away with this!" Angie yelled.

Back at the hospital, Angie's mom was trying to cling on to her life. The doctors had to put breathing tubes down her nose that lead through her lungs to help her breathe .

While Heather was sleeping, Chris came to visit her. He sat in a chair next to her bed and patiently waited for her to wake up. After awhile he got bored so he decided to turn on the television. He saw Angie's picture on the screen, "If you know this 11 year old girl, please turn her in. Call 226-Tips" The news reporter on the television said.

Chris quickly turned off the t.v. He saw that Heather was awake.

"Did you see that?" Asked Chris. Heather slowly shook her head yes.

"Do you know where she is?" Heather asked.

"No"

"Are you going to look for her?" Heather questioned

"We'll the note said not to look for her, and I trust she can take care of herself." Said Chris.

"Before I die I want to see her. Don't be an idiot. Go look for her." Heather said sternly.

"I wouldn't know where to start" complained Chris.

"That's what the police is for."

"Angie is a homeless child, the police could care less for her."

"Go look for my daughter." Heather said as she coughed into her sleeve.
