Russia x China

Another one of my friends asked for it. It's personally one of my favorites! Enjoy~

China pov
I lay in the bed, with arms holding me close. I love you, aru~ I snuggled more and faced the Russian, burring my face into his chest. One of his hands came up and stroked my hair and kissed my head. "Morning, sunflower." He smiled down at me. "Morning, aru." I smiled back. He got up and got dressed- I did the same putting my hair in a ponytail, draping it over my shoulder.

We walked out the room to the kitchen, eating breakfast. It was unusually quite this morning. Ivan usually asked me what I wanted to do or something, but he kept staring at his food- eating silently.

~time skip~

Ivan went out for work, while I stayed at home. I sat on the couch and looked around the room. I sighed and flopped to my side. "I think I'll go to the mall." I stood up, got dressed, and headed out the door.

I started the engine and pulled out of the driveway, driving off to the mall.

~mini time skip~

I was about ten minutes away from the mall, when France's radio station came on. Oh great... I immediately switched the station and the song "Safe and Sound" by Capital Cities came on.

The song made my heart flutter thinking about if Ivan proposed to me.

I tapped my fingers along with the beat of the music, mouth the lyrics.

I reached the parking lot and killed the engine. I stepped out of the car, having the song stuck in my head.

I walked into the large building, walking around not really wanting to buy anything.

Russia pov
Instead of going to work I had gone to the mall, picking up a very special present for Yao. I walked out of the store seeing Yao walk into the other across me. Oh! Well I guess I can do it here! I smiled at the thought, as I walked to the store and waited for Yao at the front.

Yao walked out spotting me. He walked over to me with a smile and a wave.

China pov
I spotted Ivan at the mall, a bit confused but nonetheless happy to see him. I walked over to him and hugged him. "Hi Ivan! I thought you were at work?" I questioned. His cheeks turned pink and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Ahh...you see- come with me and I'll show you." I raised my brow in question.

He took my hand and lead me to the middle of the mall. "Ivan, what are you doing?" He looked at me and then looked to the floor.

"Wang Yao..." He started, getting down on one knee. "I love you, oh-so very much for these five years. These past five years, my heart has never yearned for something like this before. Yao...I want to be with you- forever. I want to grow old with you."

"Ivan..." I whispered as my eyes started to tear up. By now, most of the mall had stopped and looked at the both of us. Some with their hands over their mouth, cupping their cheeks, pointing, whispering, etc.

Ivan pulled out a small box, flipped the lid and said the four words I've been waiting to hear, all this time: "will you marry me?" He looked up at me with eyes desperately waiting for answer.

The crowed awe'd and were on their toes waiting for my answer. I let the tears fall. I broke out the biggest smile, choking out my answer.

"Yes!" I shouted so everyone could hear. The entire building, clapped and shouted- throwing their fists up in the air. Ivan stood up, cupped my cheek and collided our lips together in the most passionate kiss.

Whistles and cheers erupted from everywhere in the building. We broke apart panting for air. "I love you so much, Ivan." "I love you most, my sunflower."

~bonus: wedding day~

Russia was opposite of me, smiling and so was I.

"Do you, Iavn, take Yao to be your lawfully wedded husband- to cherish forever, in sickness and in health, to death until you part?" "I do."

The priest looked to me and asked the same question. "I do."

"I now pronounce you, husband and man! You both may kiss." He announced. Ivan leaned down and I leaned up, our lips reaching each other sealing our love.

The audience stood up and clapped, some tearing up. In the end...

"We're safe and sound"
