So I decided to make this book a bunch of one shots then just staying focused on one anime. Enjoy. (Also, this is a depressed reader. So triggers...lots of triggers.)

Joining the straw hat crew, (y/n) thought she could erase her past. But she was wrong. Very wrong; every night the memories flooded her head. The scars on her body are deep but the ones in her heart are deeper.

Everyone she ever knew, disappeared. They left her for dead. Pity, they threw at her. She was only brought back up to be knocked down again. This was on repeat for years.

But every day, she came from her room with a smile already on her face. She laughed and played with her crew mates, as if nothing ever happened. She need not her friends to worry about her. (Y/n) learned to keep to herself. She made up lies, to hope she'll be happier. To only keep breaking apart.

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! C'mon, let's play tag!" Luffy bellowed. (Y/n) shook her head. "Not today Luffy. I'm feeling tired right now, so I'm going to take a nap." She smiled and walked to her room, locking it from the inside.

She let out a sigh, pulling out a dagger from her drawer. Go ahead and slice your flesh, the voice rang through her ears. Closing her eyes and placing the cold blade to her wrist, she applied the pressure needed to cut through her skin- for blood to dribble out.

The laugh of a hyena travels through her mind as she makes another mark. Another. Another. Another. (Y/n)'s eyes fly open, all pain now coming to life as she drops the dagger to hold her wrist.

"Gah! ...ha..ha..." She squeezes her wrist and hisses. Letting go, she goes to the drawer and pulls out bandages. She carefully unwraps them and wraps them around her wrist, knotting it at the end. Cleaning off the dagger, she places it back along with the bandages.

"(Y/n)." A voice says from the doorway. Frozen she stands, heart beating fast. Footsteps approach her- slapping of sandals. Luffy. Turning slowly, she hides her arms behind her back. She smiles, "Luffy! I didn't see you there. You know, it's rude to enter a woman's room without her permission."

"Why." He states, standing in front of her. "Why, what?" (Y/n) sways on the balls of her feet. "Don't play dumb. Stop smiling. It's fake." Her lips fall into a straight line, she stands still and her eyes show nothing. "Go away." She says bitterness weaved in. "Not until I know why your hurting yourself." Luffy holds his ground.

She shakes her head, "Go away." She says again, her voice wavering. "Tell me why." "Go away!" A sniffle was followed after. "Why would I tell you? I'm only going to get hurt. That's how it's always been. So, go away!" A sob choked out. Her hands went to her eyes, wiping away the tears.

"Tell me why. I need to know why.  If I don't, how am I supposed to help?" Once more, she shakes her head. She steps back, taking one hand away from her face to open the drawer. Revealing the dagger, pointing it toward her captain.

"Go. I don't need you here, trying to bud into my problems. I don't need your help." Her hands tremble, looking at Luffy.

"That's not what your eyes say." He steps forward. "Your eyes are calling out for help. So let me help." A sharp intake of air, the dagger falls and so does she.

Falling with her, Luffy's arms wrap themselves around her and bring her close. "I'll protect you. No matter what, you hear me." Tears fall, she nods. Sobs now getting their voice. (Y/n)'s arms hold tight to Luffy.

"There's no need for you to hurt yourself now. The wounds you made are now with me. You can share your sorrow with me. Don't keep it to yourself."

A louder sob echoes from her, a sound of relief now that she can share her pain. No more for her to lock up her emotions. Luffy pulls away just enough to look at her.

He takes a hand and wipes her tears. "No more crying. Alright?" She sniffles and nods. "Thank you.." She whispers. A pair of lips are planted on hers. A gentle kiss is shared. "It's alright." Standing up, he lifts (y/n) with him. "Come on. Sanji made dinner already."

A smile takes her lips. A true one. "Let's go." Luffy and (y/n) walk to the dinning hall hand-in-hand.

No more trying to hide my emotions. I can smile, laugh, and have fun. I no longer need to keep all my burdens to myself. I have someone who will share them with me...Luffy.

Yay. It's finished. Hope you enjoyed it. Bye!
