Chapter 13
*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*#*
(Nick’s P.O.V.)
Ring ring
My phone rang and woke me up at seven in the morning
Ring ring
It rang again. I reached for my phone and with one eye open I checked who it was—Zayne
“Hello?” I said in a sleepy tone
“Hey Nick, uhm…Damian isn’t going to school today, so you don’t have to pick him up---or whatever.”
“Oh, alright. Why isn’t he going?” I sat up on my elbow
“Eh, for no reason. We just wanna keep him home.” I nodded
“Alright.” I sighed “Well I guess I better get going, I don’t wanna be late.”
“Wait. Nick?”
“Yeah?”
“What’s going on between you and Damian?”
My heart began pounding fast; I don’t think he knows that I am gay “N-nothing.” I stuttered
“Uh-huh, sure. I know that you guys have something between you, I don’t know what, nor do I want to know the details. But seriously man, he has been acting weird ever since you took him over the weekend.” He paused for a minute “Do you have the hots for my little brother?” I went wide-eyed
“W-w-what? N-no of course not. We’re just friends!” I heard him chuckle on the other end
“Riiight, and I’m the king of Narnia.” He laughed
“I’m serious!” I began to blush
“Mkay, well how are you and that Linzy chick doing? Or what about Taleya? Or Amy, Ashley, Stacy, Brittney? Hmm? How are you guys doing?”
“Oh shut up!”
“I knew it! Nick is a flaming homo.” He laughed
“I am not flaming!”
“Right, you are a chilling homo.”
“Don’t call me that!”
“Eh, I’m kidding man. Just treat my bro right or I will have to kick your ass.” Zayne was stronger than me, and I knew he would keep to his word.
“Alright, well just keep in on the DL man, I don’t need my whole school finding out just yet, ya know?”
“Yeah bro, I know. Well I am going to go since I know you have to walk now, and it will take a while. See ya man.”
“See ya.” We hung up and I got ready within five minutes. I looked at myself in the mirror, and noticed my hair was still blue
“Shit.” I mumbled to myself. I am going to get some shit from the football team. Ug! Not right now, I don’t need that attention. I grabbed a hat and put it on, then pulling my hood over it. Ahh, much better. I grabbed my backpack and left. Walking in the street in the some-what cold weather is dreadful. I walked into the school, and all eyes were on me. I went to my locker and started spinning the lock; I opened my locker only to have it shut by some of the football team.
“Hey Nick, haven’t seen you at practice in a while. Where ya been?” Bruce asked me
“I’ve just been busy. I’ll be there today.” I snapped back and started opening my locker once again
