Master chief returns?

Tanya POV

I had my can of spray paint in my hand and i admired my work. I looked at the wall and smiled at my own little graffiti. With the details i put into this, i couldn't help but grin.

Halo.

It said that in bold letters. I was adding a few more details when i heard cortana. I stopped and brought my hand up and the little compartment in my palm opened up. Out stepped out a blue woman known as cortana.

"What are you doing?" She asked in curiosity.

"What? You've never seen me spray paint?" I asked her. She shook her head no.

"Well all of the rebels do this. It's sorta like a message." I explained.

"To who?" She asked.

"Master chief. We think that if we write this message everywhere master chief might see it and come back." I replied.

"Why would he come back from a message like: halo?" she asked in confusion.

"Well my spies say that master chief saved everyone by destroying a halo. If he sees this perhaps he'll see that he's still needed." I said. She looked at the message and smiled.

"You're good at writing messages" she said. I smiled cortana was like a best friend.

"Hey you! Stop right there!" I heard a soldier scream. I whipped around and put cortana back in the compartment. Sure enough i saw a soldier with his gun pointed right at me. I leaped off where i was standing and ran. I kept running until i came to a dead end.

"Oh crap....." i said looking up. I turned around and saw the soldier. I leaped over him and touched his head. I'm a smart girl, i know exactly how to get into infinity's system. I ran and jumped on my cycle. I looked at the soldier.

"And i know just how to find master chief" i whispered.

~time skip 1 hour~

Commader keyes (i know he's dead, but let's pretend he's not) POV

One of My soldiers came back and said he encountered Tanya. Spray painting another message no doubt. That girl was gonna get herself killed. All just to get me to reveal what happened to master chief, i can't tell her. Ever since cortana died he's been broken, always looking for a way to bring her back. There is no way to bring her back, she's gone. But the chief won't accept that. Tanya wants to find him and if i don't tell her, she might start war. 

"Sir, she had something with her." My soldier said.

"What was it?" I asked him. He pulled out a chip from the back of his helm and handed it to me. I plugged it in to the computer and watched. I paused the video and my eyes went wide. I turned to the soldier.

"Get me master chief." I said.

Master chief POV

I smashed the heads of the last two covenant soldiers together. I pulled out my gun and shot them. 

"That's the last of them, i need to get out of here before reinforcements arrive" i thought. I ran off and climbed up a cliff. I looked around and saw nothing but sand. I pulled the chain out and looked at it. Cortana's base chip. It should have been destroyed but i managed to get it out. I have to find a way to bring her back, maybe the covenant has some sort of technology or......

"Need a ride?" Someone asked. I pulled out my gun and turned around. I saw the commander.

"Sir?" I said/asked.

"Been awhile chief, how ya been?" He asked. I stayed silent.

"Chief,we need you for something." He said coldly.

"What? Sir i said i didn't want to-" i started, but he interrupted me.

"We think cortana is back." He said. I stopped and stared at him.

"What?" I asked.

"We think we've found cortana, that's why we need you." He said. 

"Show me." I said.

~20 min time skip~

We were on board looking at a blue screen. He explained to me that one of his soldiers had encountered the leader of a group called "the rebels".

"Who's their leader?" I asked.

"A young girl named Tanya d o l o r." He replied. On the screen a girl with black and white hair appeared. She looked maybe 12 or 11 but she still gave off a feeling. A feeling that if you encountered this girl, you might not live to see the light of day again.

"What are the rebels?" I asked.

"A group that has been pressuring us to reveal your location and status." He replied. I turned to him, clearly shocked.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because they think we still need you. They fight us, spray paint messages everywhere, and steal our tech. Your own fan club." He said.

"What do they have to do with cortana? "I asked.

"Because of this."he said playing a video on the screen. It was a soldier's point of view. He came up to the girl, and when she turned i saw it. Cortana was standing in her hand. He paused the video.

"Cortana...." i said.

"I know, i was shocked myself when i saw this. The soldier says he saw it to." He said. A soldier stepped out and nodded. I was about to speak when the blue screen went red.

"Sir! Someone is hacking our systems!" Screamed one of the technicians.

"Tanya..." he said gritting his teeth. Almost on cue a hologram of Tanya appeared in front of him.

"Tanya! What is the meaning of this?!" He screamed at her. She smirked.

"You should know commander dumbo, I've said it like a billion times!" She replied. I guess she could only see him not me.

"How did you get into the system?!" He asked her.

"Your lovely soldiers aren't that smart, i placed a bug on his chip. I knew you would plug it into your main computer." She said.

"Tanya, we can't tell you what happened to master chief." He said almost pleading. She scowled.

"You can! You just choose not to! You think we don't need him, but we do!" She screamed.

"Tanya you can stop this, here and now." He said. She laughed.

"Stop this? You have the power to stop this too! All we asked for was master chief! Is that so hard?!" She yelled.

"You still keep this up?! Even after everything you've done with your rebels!? My men are injured because of you!" He yelled.

"AND MY FRIENDS ARE DEAD! THEY ARE DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU! The rebels only injure not KILL! But you, YOU KILL US! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY GRAVES WE'VE HAD TO MAKE?!THEY'RE BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS!" She shouted. I could even swear that the ship shooked from her voice. I looked at the commander, he said nothing. After 10 seconds he spoke.

"Where is cortana? Where is she Tanya?" He asked. Tanya' s eyes went wide for a second then went back to normal.

"I have no idea what you are talking about,who is cortana?" She said innocently.

"Tanya i know-" he started.

"ENOUGH! This little meeting is over. Oh and commander?" She started.

"Expect war."
