Conquer! Katherinh! - Prolouge

"RUN!"
A scream echoed through the eerie woods.
"Aniki... I can't."
There was a maroon haired, little girl panting, along side her older brother.
"Come on, Ma! We're almost there!"
He tried to encourage her, gently pulling her along with her arm over his shoulders.
"They're catching onto us, Aniki!"
Behind them was a blood thirsty crowd of demons. Their eyes gleam through the dark as they tried to pinpoint where the two kids were.
The boy grunted. He bit his lip and frowned. There was only one option left.
He slipped his sister's arm off of his shoulders. Her brows furrowed together, her face dropped to a frown.
"Aniki?"
He placed his hands on her small shoulders.
"Maka."
He gave her a small smile.
"I love you."
He said gently. His eyes relaxed because he knew his sister was very smart as she started to cry.
"Y-you c-can't!"
The boy pulled her into a warm embrace.
"It's because I love you I can."
Pulling out of the embrace, he kissed her forehead.
"Now go! Live for the both of us!"
The boy pushed his sister deeper into the woods as he headed to the opposite direction.
"ANIKI!!"
She shouted back to her older brother. She wanted to go to him, be by his side, fight with him; but, her legs wouldn't budge in his direction, her body would do nothing but run away. Looking back, the girl could see her brother fighting a group of silver and golden hair demons. There were five of them. Four were huge, thrice her brother's size. But who she noticed the most was the boy who was around her size. His silver eyes were cold and emotionless. He raised his hand towards her brother. The girl's eyes widen as she opened her mouth to warn her brother. No voice would come out. Still running, the petite girl saw a blast of purple light. Her eyes teared up as she finally turned around. She bit her bottom lip and ran forward as fast as she could. Her brother's voice still rung through her mind.
"RUN!"
