Chapter 1 the day we meet Sam's P.O.V

 March 2004  

  I was just sitting there in the cold wet house it was storming in Canton Ohio.Their was going to be a tornado I just knew it, it was just me and my 3 year old baby sister Haley and My name is Samantha Crossfeild but if you ever even think of calling me Samantha you better run for the hills because I would whip your ass.So you could just call me Sam or else. So let me tell you a little bit about myself I am 14 years old I have no dad and my mom just died in a car wreck so all I have is my older brother Phil. It's not that i don't like Phil i love him really I do but he is never home since mom died he did make sure that I had everything I needed to get by. I really don't have anyone else it's because when I was little my dad raped me and abuse me and Phill. The thing is it's not just us I am actually a twin but my other sister Selena lives in LA with her aunt I really don't call them my family because they don't know a thing about me not at all my brother is the only one who knows the real me my brother is 25 years old and he is taking care of 2 girls on his own so i try to go easy on him sometimes but since my mom died only 4 months ago I was drinking beer doing drugs and I even had sex with my Ex boyfriend who cheated on me with Jessica i hate her so what I did to jess [ex boyfriend] I took a bat to his bike and he didn't even know it was me. It was just me and Haley in the dark the power went out and I was too scared to look for candles. I heard sounds they was so scary I thought that someone was breaking into my house that's because someone was so I took my little sisters hid her in the closet got my bat and waited for the bastard to walk inside. 

Phil's P.O.V  

I was at the store when I heard the tornado sirens they locked me in the store and they wouldn't let me out they didn't let nobody out. I knew that I needed to get home to my little sisters it wasn't even Haylee I was scared about. It was Sam who i'm worried about the most. Since mom died she been taking it very hard she's drinking doing drugs and having sex. To get more money I'm trying to be a WWE superstar but right now i'm at NXT which means i'm not home a lot I am also training to become a cop which also means that i'm never home. So what I did was call sam but their was no answer I knew that the power went out it does all the time. So what I did was call the neighbor he's only 23 but as long as my baby girls are safe it's fine with me. So I called him P "hey you owe me a favor,i need you too watch my sisters,there's a key in the door,please.yeah you can take her,okay thanks see you whenever,bye.

 Sam's P.O.V

 As he opened the door I had my bat ready I screamed "why the fuck are you here" He said "your brother told me to watch you while he's gone"all the sudden the power came back on I checked the phone and their was a missed call from Phil and A voicemail I listened to it and it said that he was going to watch me Hally. I put the bat down but kept in close in case he was lying. I asked him "who are you anyways,you look familiar?" He said "i'm Bard I live in the yellow house down the road" He put his hand out to shake mine I guess but I still didn't move. All in a flash my nerves calmed down I thought I could trust him but I'm still not sure. Than Hally started crying. Bard asked me "where's the little one?" I said "umm I hid her in the closet because I thought someone was trying to break in" As he went to go get my baby sister I tried to remember what he looked like and what he was wearing not because I liked him but because if I need to make a police statement on him with I really don't know what for yet but just in case. Let's see here he was Kinda tall I might say about 5 foot 3. He looked young no older than 25. He was wearing A white T-shirt with A black jacket on and blue jeans. Now for his facial features. He had short blond hair. Big blue eyes and the nicest butt ever. Wow maybe I do have a little crush on him.

When he came back out he had 2 little girls Halley and some other kid. He said "Oh Sam is it? this is my daughter Izzy your brother said that I could bring her my wife couldn't watch her today" I thought WIFE WIFE???? he's young he shouldn't be married and should not have a kid yet. He said "Sam Sam Samantha are you alright?" I was just stuck in thought it's a normal thing for me Phil just let me be but if he needs me then he'll just shake me. After realizing that he needed me I said "huh what yeah i'm fine but don't call me Samantha" He said "why can't I call you Samantha?" I didn't know if I could tell this to someone who I just met but I told him anyways. "because it's the perfect name for the perfect girl with the perfect family but i'm not perfect and I ill never will be and also I don't even have a family anymore but my brother that's all I have his him" I felt the tears coming I do cry a lot but I didn't want to in front of him. but he did something that really meant something to me. No he didn't kiss me but what he did to was put the kids down and put him arms around me and hugged me and said "it's okay Sammy I know you're going through tough times but it will all be okay" I hugged him back but I just hold back the tears I really needed to talk to someone about it.
