"I have good news and some bad news, which do you want first?"
She tried to get you to smile, but it didn't work.
"I can't take anymore bad news, so good news first please and do you think we could tell the rest of his friends please? They're in the waiting room, It'd be the right thing."
You mostly said that for support for when the bad news came, but the nurse agreed and you both walked over into the waiting room. You saw Ethan's mom, Cam's girlfriend, Sebastian's mom, and his other friends all standing there. They all had a mixture of sad, exhausted, and confused facial expressions on their faces but that was understandable at this point since we've been waiting for three hours and everyone just wanted to see Sebastian already.
