Naeun's POV:
We bid my friends goodbye now and soon they were out of sight.
Taemin seemed pretty serious now that we were alone. I wonder what So Eun told her. I wanted to ask what was it because surely it was about me right?
If it's not then, why would they talk if the topic wasn't about me.
"Your friends sure are fun."- He began.
"Yes,they are. I missed them so much. It's been a while that I get to see them."
"At least you have friends, you know I don't have much."
My mind raced for words to comfort him. Friends were one of the things he missed in his life. He sacrificed the idea of having friends for his dream of becoming an Idol.
I should have remembered: " If you want something, you have to give up on another."
For his case it was his friends for a fulfillment of a dream.
"You know, many would give anything just to be your friend. Look at Jing-ah, she would have probably broke your hand if I didn't stop her."
We both laughed at that. As he laughed my insides became calm;at least I made everything feel lighter.I still had to comfort him though. He needed to feel that.
"And besides Taemin, you have me so why feel so bad?" - I held his arm as I said that. I felt the need of it for that moment. He needed it.
Taemin smiled at me brightly. His cheekbones really gets my attention. Now I know when his smiles are true, you'll see it through his cheekbones when they're high up. Words drowned for the two of us.
We finally rang the doorbell and the door swung open which was opened by Mom.
"Finally, you're both here." - Mom exclaimed.
We went inside and followed Mom to the garden where we will be having dinner. We both sat next to our mothers while Dad and Taemin's hyung were busy cooking.
We sat there awkwardly, never knowing what to say. Our mothers had a lot of stuff to say so they made the atmosphere lively.
Taemin got up from his chair and went over to Dad. I became tense at his sudden approach.
I don't know why but usually dads are really overprotective when it comes to their daughters. They don't like their daughters having some guy. In my case, I really don't know what lies in Dad's mind. I don't know what he thinks of Taemin.
"Naeun, where have you been? Where did you bring Taemin to?" - His mom asked.
"Well, we went walking. The Church, the garden near the church and just walk around the area."
"So you two were fine just by yourselves?"- Mom asked.
This was unusual. Mom doesn't ask me those questions before, after all it's our neighborhood.I knew the ins and outs of this place.
"Yes we were both fine. Why?"
"Well, I was worried when I set you off with Taemin. I know the people are used to you for a long time but not Taemin. I was worried people would crowd over you two.
Security really."- Mom said.
"It's harder for you to go out these days since you're both Idols."- His Mom said.
I nodded to there words. True, it was hard to go out. Some were used to me but Taemin and I together?
NO.
