The House on Hook Street

Chapter 2

We first play "pin the eyes on the demon", Jewls won that. She got it perfectly, I bet she could see through the blindfold.

Next we played, "taste the body part". I cut Bologna to be tongue, I took grapes and made them eye balls, gummy fingers for fingers, i chopped up white asparagus to be teeth, and I cut off the leaves on broccoli to be hair. So I put all the body parts on a piece of paper and had everyone memorize them. I would blindfold people and put one of the food items in their mouth and they would guess what body part it's supposed to be.

First up was Jewls. She guessed two of the five. Jamey guess four of the five. Tay got all five, and I didn't play because I knew what they all were.

Jamey stood up and said, "truth or dare time ladies! Gather up in the living room." We all followed her. I grabbed the bowls and put them on the table. One bowl was filled with truth questions written down on folded pieces of paper. Everyone brought three truths and three dares to put in the bowl so it was fair. The second bowl had the dares. "Okay, here are the rules. We play until there are no more of each. Everyone must pick a dare at some point. As soon as all the truths are out, everyone has to draw from the dares. There are no passes! Let's start." We all sat down and discussed who should go first.

"Val, you should go first since you're the birthday girl." Said Tay. "Ok, I pick truth." Tay picks one out of the truth and reads it to me, "have you ever kissed anyone?" I replied with relief, "yes, Johni Rush in eighth grade." Everyone giggles.

"Okay Tay, your turn." "Great, I choose dare!" She says bravely. I reach over to the dare bowl and pulled one out. "Here we go, Tay, you have to prank call the principle! Mr. Weslie!" Everyone laughed loudly. I get up and hand her the phone. "Here, the number is on the paper. Don't say your name."

She dials the number and the principle answers, "hello?" "Yes, is this Mr.Weslie?" "Yes? Whose this?" "This is DJ hipster calling to say... " Taylor takes her phone and play a song really loudy into the phone speaker. After four seconds she hangs up and we all laugh. "Whose next?" I ask.

Jewls and Jamey both say "me" at the same time. Rock, paper, scissors you two. Jewls won so she went next. "I choose dare. "Okay then." Tay reaches over and pulls one out of the dare bowl.  "Okay Jewls, you have to drink a cup of sugar free lemon juice." We all gasp grossly.

I go into the kitchen and fill a one-cup measuring cup of lemon juice. I then pour that into a solo cup and bring it out to Jewls. "Here, remember, you can't spit it out. Good luck." She takes the cup and looks up at all of us, "I hate you guys" she laughs. She takes the cup from my hand and tried to quickly gulp it down. She finished it to the last drop and her face puckered up like a fish. We all fell on the floor laughing.

I quickly skip into the kitchen and grabbed a tablespoon of sugar and brought it to her to put on her tongue. "How's your tongue?" I ask still laughing. "Fine. Thanks for the sugar." I nod and sit back down. "Jamey, it's your turn." We all turn and laugh.

"Truth." She quickly says before anyone could ask. Jewls picks out her truth and reads it to Jamey. "Who wrote this? It says 'what is your favorite color' that's so lame." Jamey raises her hand with a big grin. "Me, and blue." We all look at her and laugh.

We went through until all the papers were gone. "Do we want to continue?" I ask. "Yes!" They all shout together. "Okay, this time it's teams. One person has to pick a dare for the other three to complete together. Jewls got the worst of the dares, so she can pick out the dare for Tay, Jamey, and I to complete together." I say. "I got the perfect dare! You three have to spend one whole hour in the Hook Street house." I look at her with wide eyes and say, "are you serious!? No way that's happening!" "You said no passes, you three have to do it together."
