A newspaper, Sep 1940
In the night from 27th to 28th September the barn of the Beacon farm burned down. Anja Beacon, who had been still inside when the fire started, and her husband Charlie Beacon, who ran in a heroic but futile attempt to save her, lost there live to the flames. As there are no relatives the farm will go under the hammer. The tragedy of the Beacons is mourned by all of the town.
