*this continues the story of Until Dawn. I'm assuming it was December when everyone went up the mountain, (there was snow) so I set everything for around that time. this also is assuming all the characters (except Josh) survived. enjoy!*

Mom told me today. They found his body near the Washington Mansion. I can't believe he's gone. The only father I ever knew. Mom told me that he was decapitated, which means this is a murder case now. She also told me that his murder is related to another case involving a few teens. They claim to have witnessed his murder and the killer is a supernatural being. What's even crazier is that they told the police that my dad hunted these things for a living. And if that wasn't shocking enough, apparently mom and dad were considering divorce. I don't know what to think anymore. I've learned more about dad today than I have in the 16 1/2 years of my life.December 17th, 2015
I was questioned today. It wouldn't have been bad, but the officer either asked me questions I didn't know the answers to, or personal questions that didn't relate to the case. They forced me to visit the morgue, and identify his body, and when I told them I couldn't look, they grabbed my arms and dragged me to his body. He looked so sad. I'll never forget the look on his face.December 18th, 2015
They brought me in again today. This time they asked me questions about the teens who were up on the mountain. Thankfully my interviewer was a woman, and she was very kind. She showed me pictures of each of them, and asked me if I knew them or ever saw them before. When I said no, she showed me their interviews from when they were found. I knew I had to contact them somehow. So when the lady went outside for a coffee, I copied their addresses down. I want to see them soon so I can ask them questions. They are the only hope I have for finding who took my father from me.December 20th, 2015
I don't know what to think. I went ahead and talked to the teens, Ashley, Chris, Sam, Michael, Jessica, Matthew, and Emily, and they confirmed my worst fears. There is a beast up there, called the Wendigo, and it doesn't stop killing until everything is dead. I don't want to, but I know I have to do some more research, and go up to that mountain myself. My father and my grandfather devoted their lives to killing these things, and I don't want to disappoint them.December 25, 2015
It's Christmas today. It's the first Christmas without dad. We all brought out the gifts we had bought for him, and put them under the tree. Ashley and Chris came over yesterday. They are so nice. They offered to go back up the mountain with me, and they promised they would at least get Sam to go too. I don't think the police are going to let anyone get up there for a while, so we are going to meet next month to make plans. I really miss dad. He would have been proud to see his little monster fighting daughter. I hope I can make him proud.January 2nd, 2015
Mom is making me go see a counselor. She says it isn't healthy for someone who went through a traumatic loss to be alone all the time. I haven't told her I'm researching the Wendigo. I don't think she even knew what dad really did. I don't plan on telling her I know either way. Aunt Marie is planning dads funeral. It's going to be next week. Ashley and Sam offered to come. They feel responsible for his death. I'm just glad he didn't die completely alone.(A/N:
what did you guys think? it took me a while to think of how I should introduce the present day story. there are going to be more diary entries towards the end of the story, so the entire story won't be just diary entries. that would be cool though. next chapter will be in Dana's point of view. make sure to suggest characters, and vote on whether I should do some choice chapters (where there are two options you can make and the outcome is different because of it) or have some chapters from other characters point of view.
thanks for reading!
