The past:

I met him on Graduation Night. I know it's silly that I did not even realize his existence in school. He had gone to a two years trip to United State of America because his father was assigned to work there. He stopped school and went there with his whole family. After the work trip, he returned here and continued to study from where he has stopped. Therefore, he is in the same level as me and yet I never realized his existence before. How silly.

On Graduation night, I was with my best friend, Elle. We both dressed more beautifully than ever. Unlike Elle, I wore a simply black, body hugging spaghetti strip, dress which falls on mid thigh pairing it up with my three-inch heels which, FYI, it wasn't even considered high yet, but I already struggled to walked in it.

On the other hand, Elle wore the striking head-turner body hugging red dress which falls slightly above her mid-thigh, she clipped up half of her hair and left the bottom half loose, with small curve.. She put on a striking red coloured lipsticks on her lips, which totally matches her dress, and she paired it with her favourite red heels, which perhaps five inches? She was so stunning, I swear.

All the guys in school were after her, but for me, I seemed to be just another ordinary schoolmate. They saw nothing in me. But that's okay, I passed High School being a loner, but I enjoyed being the less popular kids. Lesser drama, lesser problems and stuff like that.

Elle's father drove us both to the school for Grad Night. I was really looking for it and anticipating it. Elle and I quickly rushed to the registration, as we did not want to be late on such an important day - Grad Night! After registration, some junior students ushered us to the hall. To be honest, it felt great being ushered by others, I felt royalty.

The moment the big doors of the hall opened, Elle and I took small steps forward on the red carpet. Elle was definitely the reason to all the attention, everyone were looking at us.

She was soooooo stunning and gorgeous that night, and her image were still vivid in my mind & my heart.

The school hall definitely does not even look like a school hall at all. In contrary, it looked like a high class, fancy ballroom. I was amazed with the organizing team who had did such a great job. It must have cost a bomb to give the hall such a makeover.

We wandered off after the unnecessary attention, talking to some classmates, and taking photos. After awhile of socializing, the emcees, Kelvin and Calisa, both of them are the junior students, spoke, "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Please take your seats" Everyone quiet down and took their seats.

"Thank you for your attention." Kelvin smiled, before continuing briefing us what are the events and activities that will be taking place today. "Today, we will be having very special performances by a band, which was formed by a group of teachers." Everyone cheered upon hearing it. "Not only that, we have our very own performance by our graduating students, who call themselves, Starz-"

I cannot sit still and listen to these talks for long; I just wandered off thinking of something else. Like choosing my career after high school. I was thinking if I should go to college immediately, or wait for a year or so.

Elle snapped me back into reality. She whispered, "Tess, they are calling for you. Go up!"

"What?" I whispered back.

"You won the Best Dressed Female Award!" She whispered back, from the cheering crowd who were looking at me. I looked at her blankly, digesting the words she was saying.

"Guess our Tess here is very shy?" Kelvin said into the mike. I swear at that particular moment, I wanted to kill him. My face was already blushing. Elle hurriedly pinched my backside and got me standing up. Balancing my three inch high heels, I walked wobbly to the stage. I was really nervous!
