Ricky's POV:
I wake up and see Devin is using my head as pillow since I was using his shoulder. We were still on the plane and based off the windows I can tell it's very early morning. Why am I up? I close my eyes again, not before grasping his hand in mine."Baby wake up, it's time to go." Devin yawns, shaking me awake. "Mehmm..." I make noise of displeasure and he smiles. "C'mon, when we get to the hotel we can sleep all you want."
We make our way to get our luggage and get out of the airport, while I feel like throwing up out of claustrophobia. "So many people." I chuckle nervously. "Yeah, you ok?" Devin rubs my back, trying to be comforting. "Yeah, but you'd think I'd be used to it."
We get a rental car and drive to where we board the faeries. "They have food on these things right?" Devin asks me. "Yes, not very good food, but food nonetheless."
Once on, I lead Devin up the stairs into the seating/food area. I get a cheeseburger and he grabs a large donut. "Really? Always the healthy choices with you huh?" I laugh. "You can't go wrong with donuts." He defends.
Once we pay, we sit at a window booth, looking out while we ate. "Pretty." Dev says. We were looking at grey clouds and dark water, nothing particularly 'pretty.' "Pretty for Wednesday Addams maybe." I look back at him since he was a better view.
"Pretty to some at least, everything is pretty to someone." He smiles down at me. "Best. Quote. Ever. Seriously tweet that or something." I tell him. "I never thought Twitter would be just casually thrown into a conversation." He chuckles. "It just was."
I pull out my phone and do it for him. '"Pretty to some at least. Everything is pretty to someone." -@LonesomeGhosts when I said the drab sky of Seattle wasn't pretty. He always says the right thing.'
He pulls out his phone and sees it. "Always? I don't think so." He says. "Always." I confirm, taking his head in my hands and kissing him.
Someone awkwardly coughs after awhile and we break apart. "Hi, sorry. It's better I break it up before a homophob does." A man a little younger than us says. "It's ok." Devin says in a soft voice, he must've noted the boy's shy body language.
"Cole! Where'd ya go? Oh, there you are." A more out going hyper boy comes up next to him. "Hi, would you guys like to sit?" I offer since we were only sitting on one side of the booth. "Sure thanks." The outgoing one sits, motioning for 'Cole' to sit next to him.
"I'm Keagan and that's Cole, he's pretty quiet until he gets comfortable." He introduces. "It's cool we're the same way, I'm Ghost and this is my husband Ricky." Ghost tells them. Oh my God I love hearing him say I'm his husband, if he just repeated that like twenty times I'd probably faint out of happiness.
"You're married? That's awesome! Cole and I are dating but if we got married I'm fairly certain his family would kill us and to be honest his family is scary as fuck." Keagan says. "Is that why you're so worried about homophobs?" I ask Cole. "Yeah, my parents would make scene over it and I'm always scared either they'll find out about me and hate me or something like that so I always worry about other couples too." Cole speaks for himself and Keagan puts his hand on his thigh which you can see it visibly calmed him.
"My dad's like that. I'm sorry, it sucks. When or if you guys get married don't bother inviting them, they'll just piss you off." I chuckle, like seriously why did I even invite him, I should've seen that coming. "Uh oh, what happened?" Keagan asks. "Eh, just a little argument. My daughter from another relationship wanted to be the ring bearer and she couldn't because her cousin was but my dad told her it was a boy's job and then that led to him saying I was raising my kid to be lesbian. Which I wouldn't mind if she was but she's only three." I explain. "Wow, that was uncalled for."
"How about we change the subject?" Devin suggests. "So what's it like being a stepdad?" Keagan asks him. Uh, I hope he likes it. "It's ok, I mean it kinda sucks because she doesn't see me as a parent, just the one that sings her to sleep and gives her extra sugar..."
"So called it! She's hyper enough without it." I playfully hit him. "True, but it makes her happy." He smiles at me.
"So is she your blood daughter or did you adopt?" Keagan pretty much asks if I'm bi or just gay. "Blood, definitely unplanned. I broke up with her mother like a month before I found out." He nods. "Do you know for sure she's yours?" Cole asks quietly. "Oh yeah, she's like a splitting image of him." Ghost chuckles.
I pull out my phone again and pull up a picture of her. "You have the exact same eyes, wow. Beautiful." Keagan gapes. "Yeah, she's my little princess." I smile. "What's her name?" Cole asks.
"Heresy."
"Like against the Catholic belief?" Cole asks. "Exactly, we aren't very religious as you could probably guess." He nods. "Yeah the whole goth look kinda signals something other than 'Praise the Lord.'" Keagan sniggers.
"Yeah, our band has a pretty big misconception of being satanic but we're not. Just six guys with different opinions than the rest of the world." I nod. "Band? What band?" Cole brightens up, uh oh a Bandom Boy. "Motionless in White."
"Isn't that band Raven never shuts up about?" Keagan asks Cole. "Yup. What postion?" Cole asks. "I'm the bassist, Rick's a guitarist." Devin repies, playing on his phone now.
