Chapter 51: Jet Black Heart

~Authors note~

I just wanted to quickly say that the last chapter and this chapter are based off of a TV show that is on over here in Australia called Winner's and Losers. One of the girls, Sophie was dating a guy named Luke.... So if you if you know the show, on the second last episode of the current season
(Season 5, I think) , Sophie and Luke had a little slip up and slept together. But Sophie said it was a goodbye because she's going to Kenya.

So I kind of got the idea from there and I hope you like the following chapter.

Luke's POV

As she drove away all I could feel was my heart being completely ripped out of my chest. I walked back inside to see Ash and Mikey had my stuff
"We're done for the day Luke, let's get going" Ash said and put his hand on my shoulder
"Wait, there's something I want to say to you guys" I said and Mikey looked at me
"You don't have to say anything Luke. We know you're sorry. Just please stop being a prick" he said and I smiled at them
"Thanks guys" I said and took my stuff from them
"Any time brother" Ash said as we got into the SUV.

We got back to our hotel and saw Calum and Sophie sitting on the couch watch a movie
"What Cha watching?" Mikey asked and walked in ahead of all of us, "GUYS I SAID NO PORN!" Mikey continued and Ash and I ran in to see them watching the Notebook. I laughed and Calum just pushed him out of the way
"Dude, are you crying?" I asked Cal and he looked at me
"No!" He said defensively and we all laughed because he was lying.

"I'm gonna head to my room. Catch ya later" I said and Ash looked at me
"Are you and Keegan ok?" He asked and I blinked a few times, feeling my eyes well up with tears. He gave me a sympathetic look and nodded at me to go upstairs. I got to my room and slammed the door. I flopped down on my bed and plugged in my ear phones. Just before I pressed shuffle there was a knock on the door. I sat up and called for them to come in

Sophie walked in and closed that door
"What happened?" She asked and I sighed
"Selena left me and Keegan heard everything that was said... It's just one big fucking mess Sophie, and I don't know how to fix it." I told her and put my head in my hands
"She will come around Luke, just wait and see" she said
"How can you be so sure?" I asked and she shrugged
"I'm not, but Luke, you love her and she still loves you, as much as she doesn't want to admit it because she thinks she is going to hurt you again, she does. The rest is up to you now Luke. You either chose to love her or you choose to let her go. There is no more in between anymore" she said and then left my room.

Keegan's POV

The house was empty when I got back and I just walked into the kitchen and started making myself something to eat. I boiled some water to cook some pasta, making extra in case Soph came home. I drained the water out of the pasta and then served it into a bowl and grated cheese over the top. I sat down on the couch and flicked through the channels on the TV trying to find something that wasn't news that I could watch.

I stopped on an old black and white movie. I had no idea what it was but it was better than hearing the news about Luke and Selena and then them bringing me into it. I took a bite of my pasta and the front door opened. Three people walked into my house and I groaned
"Where's mine?" Sophie asked
"Kitchen, there's plenty if you want any too" I said to Calum and he nodded and went with Sophie. I put my bowl down and Luke took a seat on the couch beside me

"Why didn't you stop?" He asked
"What?"
"Why did you just leave?" He asked and I sighed
"Because if I didn't, things would get out of hand. Now can we please just drop this and forget it ever happened?" I asked, standing up and going upstairs. I sat down on my bed
"I can't forget what happened Keegan! Neither can you" He said and I groaned
"See this is what happens with us! We always find a way to make sure that we can never be together" I said and he took a step forward.
"We've made mistakes Keegan. We're only human. I can barely live with myself knowing what I did to you, let alone do it again. Don't you see? We have both made bad choices" He said
"Those bad choices should make you run for the hills... Why are you still here?" I asked and He looked at me
"Because I've never cared, loved or needed anyone as much as I care about, love and need you. Keegan you are the only person I have ever needed. It doesn't matter what the world throws at me, all I know is that as long as you're part of the equation, we can work it out. You are my world; nothing makes sense without you." He said and tears fell from my eyes.
