Lily took a step back with a shocked face while Hannah got her purple sparkle pen from her bag and wrote her name down. When she turned to sit down she gave Lily a death glare. She then walked and sat down next to Justin. Lily started to walk down but then thought better of it, why should she do what Hannah says? Lily knew she could get that part so when she turned back around and signed her name she really was surprised to hear other kids gasp.
"Oh! Good, yes very good Lily! We have never had anyone who tried out for the female lead aganist Hannah before. Yes this will be a very nice friendly competition!" Miss Noris sang and then started talking to the lighting crew about when they should be here to pratice the spot light. Lily couldn't help but steal a small glance at Hannah. She was talking very fast and quitly to her boyfriend who was trying to calm her down.
When everyone from the class was making there way outside the doors Miss Noris stopped Hannah and Lily before they could disapear from sight
"Ok girls, you both are going for the role of Juliet and I wanted to tell you that the additions will be held on Friday so that gives you a week to learn a song and practice your little hearts out! I want you both to sing me a song then give me a little monolage from the script. Make sure the song is a brodway hit!" Miss Noris said and then glided away.
"You think you're real clever don't you" Hannah spat "I have gotten the female lead every single play and a little nobody blonde isn't going to stop me from getting this one" With that she left, leaving Lily to walk out behind her a couple of feet away.
Marley smiled at Lily when she walked up to her locker but right away knew something was wrong
"What did you do?" Marley laughed while putting her ballet shoes away in her locker
"I signed up for the female lead" Lily said ready to explain that Hannah usually got that part but she didn't need to because Marley understood right as the words left her lips
"That's Hannahs role!" She said in a loud whisper. Lily nodded and gave a worried look
"Am I dead?" She asked as her and Marley went to the office to get there dormroom numbers and find out there roommates.
"Hello, name please?" The secretary asked Marley who was up first
"Marley Carpender" She said. The lady spent a few seconds on the computer getting her information up before handing her a key
"Room 408, your roommates name is Cassie Stevens" The secretary said. Marley nodded and smiled. She took a step away letting Lily go next
"Lily Fairheart" She said now reading that the girl in the office name was Tammy. Again after a few moments Tammy had pulled Lily's infomation up and handed her the key
"Room 409, your roommates name is Emma Dennis" She said. Lily smiled and lefted with Marley
"Do you know your roommate?" Lily asked trying to remember her name
"Yeah, Cassie. She is a dancer like me but she is more into jazz and I'm more into ballet. I haven't talked to her that much but she seems really nice" Marley told her.
"Have you heard of mine? Emma Dennis?" Lily asked
"No... Can't say I have" Marley answered as they reached there dorms. The two friends smiled at each other because there rooms there right across the hall.
Lily put her suitcase down and opened the door. A smell of a nice candle filled the hall. Lily waved to Marley and entered the room shutting the door behind her. She then saw a girl who had dyed blonde hair, almost white, with a pink streak going down one of the sides. Her bangs almost covered her eyes and she was wearing a very punk style of clothing. Lily saw that she had taken the bed on the left so Lily soft put her suitcase on the other bed.
"You must be Emma" Lily smiled trying to start a conversation. Emma, not even bothersing to look up from her punk magozine just simply nodded.
"I'm Lily" She tried but Emma didn't even give the slightest movement.
"Well... this should be fun" Lily said to herself while opening up her suitcase
